DIFFRENCE BETWEEN PHRASE AND CLAUSE.
PHRASE:-
A Group Of Words That Makes Sense, But Not
Complete Sense, Is Called A Phrase.
OR
A Group Of Words That Do Not Have Subject And
Predicate.

The moon shines at night.
Keep these utensils on the shelf.
She is living with her father.
She phoned me after two days.
She has a great idea.
TYPES OF PHRASE:-
ADJECTIVE
PHRASE
A GROUP OF WORDS WHICH FORMS PART OF A
Sentence, CONTAINING A SUBJECT AND PREDICATE OF
ITS OWN, IS CALLED A CLAUSE.
EXAMPLE :-
He has a chain which is made of gold.
In this sentence ‘which is made of gold’is not phrase because it has subject
and predicate .
1. We cannot start while it is raining .
2. People who are honest are respected.
3. I think that you have made a mistake.
4. They expected that they would win the match.
5. The doctor is hopeful that he will recover soon.
6. We all admire a man who is brave.

TYPES OF SUBORDINATE CLAUSE :-
1.NOUN CLAUSE
2.ADJECTIVE CLAUSE
3.ADVERB CLAUSE
1. A SENTENCE HAS SUBJECT AND
PREDICATE IS KNOWN CLAUSE .
2.A SENTENCE DOES NOT HAVE SUBJECT
AND PREDICATE IS KNOWN PHRASE.
