PROJECT SCHEDULING OF MK APARTMENT USING
MSP
A two phase methodology is adapted in which the first
phase comprise of the collection of basic information
required for the schedule development and the second phase
comprise of the development of a formidable schedule.
Using MSP2013 as a construction project management tool,
project planning is done accurately, this enables
management to organize the resources required for the
project effectively.

P M Wale (2015) analysed PLANNING AND
SCHEDULING OF PROJECT USING MICROSOFT
PROJECT USING MICROSOFT PROJECT 2013 by Case
Study of a building in India.
Construction of building using Traditional way proves to be
uneconomical and consumes more time with many
complexibility and enormous error which actual execution
of the Project.
Labour management becomes easier as the over allocated
activities are levelled using the levelling option available in
MSP 2013

19. Prepare Task List
19
Every task in the Construction of building is listed one by
one by using Collected Data, Architecture drawing, and bill
of quantity.
Example: 1. Start,
2. Arrangement of electricity,
3. Install Temporary water Service,
115 tasks are prepared.

Construction activities Tasks are divided as
• Mobilize On Site
• Substructure
• Superstructure
• Water Supply & Sanitary Works
• Painting
• Final Cleanup And Inspection

Total quantity of External Painting work = 320sqm ..A
Productivity of 1 painter & 2 Helper = 13sqm per day ..B
Available 5 painter ..C
10 helper
Product per day = Available painters X Output per painter per day
= 5 x 13 ..(B x C)
= 65sqm ..D
Task Duration = 320/65 = 4.9 = 5 days ..(A / D)

33. CONCLUSION
• Microsoft Project 2003 is a very easy software to
work with. Simple way to develop tasks and
resources.
• MSP helps to Identify Critical path of the project, as
well as Helps to find the over allocated resources.
• The results will be automatically calculated with
tracking which allows to manage project.
33CHETANRAJ
34. CONCLUSION
• By Task sequencing and accurate scheduled connection
among the tasks, the project length can be achieved
without any interruption.
• The Gantt charts will be a pure representation for the
site engineers, easy performance of task and have
arranged for the forthcoming tasks.
• MSP provides Easy way to represent fast tracking of
tasks
34CHETANRAJ
35. FUTURE SCOPE
• Once schedule is developed in MSP will allows to
update for upcoming tasks.
• Tracking continued until the end of the project for the
best construction outcome. Every tracking process will
provide earned value changes.
• Allows the task comparison with the saved baselines.
And with 11 available saves.
• The MSP file are easy to save, share and backup same
as MICROSOFT OFFICE Files.
