INTRODUCTION
AND BACKGROUND
Michael William Krzyzewski was born on February 13, 1947.
He grew up in poor polish working-class family and krzyzewski was proud of his roots.
He was great basketball player at Weber High School.
 Coach K was most definitely a transformational leader.
Bob Knight offered him an appointment to the United States Military
Academy.
In 1969, he attained the rank of captain.

•Impact could be huge as coach K has said in case study.

•Basketball court at Cameron Indoor Stadium named "Coach K Court"
•5 ACC( Atlantic Coast Conference) Coach of the Year (1984, 1986, 1997, 1999, 2000)
•He has won the National Coach of the Year Award seven times
•Has won the NCAA National Championship three times
•Sports Illustrated "Sportsman of the Year“ in 2011.
•In 2008 Coach K led Team USA to a Gold Medal in Beijing
•Award presented at the United States Military Academy named the "Coach Krzyzewski
Teaching Character through Sports Award"
