Danny and Haydn present their idea for a recruitment video to encourage teenagers to become members of an organization. Their video will feature four teenage members filmed in different locations, such as a skate park and shopping center, discussing why they enjoy being members. It will also show the ease of completing a membership form. Danny and Haydn researched recruitment videos from Apple and the NHS to help guide their professional-looking video in terms of style and format. They shared storyboards to outline their planned shooting and final product.

Final Major Project
Haydn: Hello my name is Haydn.
Danny: And my name is Danny.
Haydn: We are here to present our idea for our final major project; we have chosen the brief to
become a member.
Danny: We will begin to take you through our ideas generation and how we came up with our idea.
Haydn: We started by creating a spider diagram of our potential ideas to see what we can use to
gain the most effective become a member video.
Danny: As you can see we used the main points; messages, colour schemes, target audience and
visuals and from these sub headings we created ideas.
Haydn: Our final idea is to use a recruitment style film showing four characters who are teenagers
who are members and they give reasons as to why they enjoy being a member so much, we are also
going to show how easy it is to become a member by filming someone actually filling out the form.
Danny: We are going to be filming them individually in separate locations; they will be filmed at a
skate park, a shopping centre, at college and at Salford Quays. We are going to use these locations
because they are in Salford and also places which people our age go to. By using people our own age
it will gain more interest for the teenagers in society.
Haydn: We researched into previous examples of recruitment videos so we could use similar styles
to keep our film looking professional. The examples we looked at were for the company Apple and
they use the method of showing people that work for Apple trying to get members of the public to
join Apple. Which is similar to ours and it looks professional so we are using this as a guideline.
Danny: Here is an example of our storyboards so it gives you an idea of how we are going to shoot
this and how our end product will look. We want to also use similar house styles to other NHS
Recruitment videos so we will be using the same colours and the correct logos.
