Children mixed flour, sugar, and other ingredients to make coconut cookies. They shaped and decorated the dough before baking delicious cookies. The children then played a game using the cookies, guessing who took a cookie from the cookie jar. They also made art by putting marbles in paint pots, coating the marbles, and tilting paper to create abstract designs.
6. In a bowl, children mixed some flour and sugar. They were trying to estimate the appropriate
amount for the recipe.
Coconut and other ingredients to enhance the taste were added. They were really careful using
all the materials and the ingredients they needed.
Once the mixture was ready, they started giving shapes to the dough and decorate it before we
put it in the oven. They became artists and bakers and they made their own coconut cookies.
We ate them and we have to admit they were delicious! We also decided to play a game using
the coconut cookies and find out ……. Who took the cookie from the cookie jar!?!?
7. Children put some paint in the pots and some marbles in every pot. They mixed
the colours and the marbles until the marbles were fully covered with the
colour.
After showing them how to tilt the box they felt quite proud of themselves when
they managed it. They tilted the paper in all four directions and their piece of
art looked pretty nice! Thank you Turkey!
