1. Literary
Commenced my first literary work in mid-2007 and after 18 months completed,
“Enlightenment is the Secret to Fly”, a 750 page book that is about the
incompleteness and angst of a software company ceo who in spite of financial,
professional, personal and societal success feels incomplete. His existential
vacuum bothers him, and his search to find his meaning of his life begins. In his
search, he comes under the tutelage of an ageless enlightened sadhu and through
his life and the protagonist’s search the reader grapples with enlightenment in its
many facets. It took another year and half to have it published. While writing I
taught myself discipline, perseverance, managing moods, use of tools for writing,
regularity and hours of head down and continue and over a period developed my
methodology/process for writing, only to find a few years later priced packages are
available to help and assist the writer. I also learnt the rudiments of the book trade
a massive network, a world of its own and its place in the global economy.
I now realize that “Enlightenment is the Secret to Fly” is heavy and lengthy
and would like to work with another person to abridge it with joint honors for
publication, perhaps a new title and copyright. The invitation stands, and of
course it can be translated too.

Completed, “Ajay’s Restlessness” in 2015, a 120, 000 word novel set during 1998
to 2004, against the backdrop of the nascent software and call center industries,
and the beginning of the “Age of Aspiration”. It is about the ultimate success of
Ajay a rural lad, with an agrarian background from a remote village in UP to
becoming a runaway success in Bangalore the software capital of India. He has no
credentials or street smartness nor the cunningness but the fierce desire to succeed.
Will he succeed?
His basic goodness helps him in negotiating the tricky environment and transforms
him into a perceptive adventurer. He has become an adventurer more in the mind
which pitch forks him on top of the heap. He works hard, travels as the company’s
troubleshooter, instills confidence amongst employees and the trust of the
company’s customers until he decides to venture and build a global business based
on elegant programing a little known methodology for creating software.
Meanwhile his company is facing life-threatening crises. Does he understand their
reasons? Can he fix them?

2. ‘Ajay’s Restlessness” covers important events that created the software industry,
the practice of oneness, the necessity of focus for success, true understanding of
desire and its management, phoenix moments that generate the sensibility to relook
at one’s own life and thereby leading to the extinction of suffering are the themes
that run through the book.

“The Man on the Kutab Minar” is my latest work, finished two months ago and I
have not approached any publisher. How does the collective consciousness of an
old civilization with a celebrated past, ruled by foreigners for the past 500 years
assert itself after independence? How do the people of a country invaded by
Iranians, Greeks, Parthians, Arabs, Turks, Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch and the
British settlers feel after seeing the last of its invaders/settlers? How should a
newly born independent democratic republic define its new culture, essentially
Hindu, which witnessed the coming of Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians and Muslims
bring their culture and instead of fighting, absorbed them and created new cultures
like Jainism, Buddhism, and Sikhism adding to cultural diversity? These are
existential questions for the country and its people.
Sixty years later the rulers want a seat on the global high table of business, trade,
culture and soft power. The rulers know that India has many positive features
going for them – favorable demographic divide, high savings, educated and
aspiring population, noteworthy scientific and engineering achievements,
successful expatriate population, aspiring hard working people and more does not
see itself winning worldwide. That is a very small part, maybe 10 % of its people.
Governments have come and gone but unable to unleash the natural endowments
of its people in the country? A permanent seat on the high table is a bewitching
idea.
The “Man on the Kutab Minar”, is a political thriller supported by startling facts
and peppered by real life vignettes of high profile shakers and movers. Written in
white-hot anger the action is fast paced and over in 3 weeks. Perfect Protect is a
private Indian security firm built by ex-army guerrillas, in collaboration with a
private Israeli security firm, which exhorts the Indian ceo that Indian government’s
one after the other have been flawed, no matter its high ideals, postures and
demagogues that do not allow India to achieve its potential. In response PP sets up
a project called ProJus whose purpose is to transform Indian political system from
a corrupt, oligarchy catering to top elitist 10 % of the population to a genuine

3. broad based active democracy engaging the entire population imaginatively. The
ending is as startlingly as ProJus is.
I am seeking a publisher who will do justice to “Man on the Kutab Minar”.

Books under pseudo name
A collection of three erotic works, between 120 and 200 pages, which have been
published and sold. The names and locales maybe Indian but the sensibility is
global. The Idea of this series came after chatting with a British literary advocate in
the aftermath of the ghastly Nirbhaya happening. I could not meet three deadlines
and slept on it. Two years later, I fished them out reworked and finished them over
a year. They have been a creative challenge.
Do you wriggle or feel uptight when you see, hear or read openly words like kinks,
ejaculation, clitoral vs. vaginal orgasm, fetishes etc. Today you can see them on the
billboards, advertisement on hoardings, blaring from the radio, in newspapers and
magazines. These could be bold, understated or disguised. The word sexting is
quite new and a commentary on our times. They reflect the morals of the country
and writers try to defy them as best as they could.
Never before has a sexual revolution taken the world by storm as it has today. Sex
has moved from the straight man/woman vanilla relations to exploration of one’s
most secret desires in abandon and openly. We are not talking about the extreme
and dangerous releases. There is an air of liberalization. The new media(s) and
their artifacts – the internet, cellular phones, computer, audio video contraptions,
natural and synthetic chemicals and sexual toys have hastened this sense of
exploration as also relaxation and given man’s imagination the license to explore,
create and express his deepest sensual desires.
Most people have aspirations of sexual liberation and wish to break out from their
narrow confines of cultural, religious and moral constraints. It is also a fact that
doing the same thing in the same manner repeatedly loses its sharpness. After some
time it could be dulling.
This idea of the series was to get into the dark mosaic of non-ordinary sex as it
expands into the arena of eroticism. This might help people to express their secret
desires or feel at one with the stories here. It may give wings to your imagination
and information about these sexual orientations. Sexually explicit themes without
license are becoming the new cool in the literature of erotica.

then I have reworked them. I now seek a publisher to publish them maybe
with different names, covers and a new copyright.
