ANDROID
& FLUTTER
- Lisha Narmada
The company named Open Handset Alliance developed Android for the first time
that is based on the modified version of the Linux kernel and other open-source
software.
Open source software is code that is designed to be publicly accessible—anyone can see,
modify, and distribute the code as they see fit.
WHAT IS LINUX KERNEL?
The Linux® kernel is the main component of a Linux operating system (OS) and is the
core interface between a computer's hardware and its processes.
The Android operating system is the largest installed base among various mobile
platforms across the globe.
Android is a powerful open-source operating system that open-source provides
immense features and some of these are listed below.
Features of Android:
Android | App to Add Two Numbers (Lets run this in Android Studio App)
STEP-1: First of all go to the xml file.
STEP-2: Now go to the text and write the code for adding 3 textview,2 textedit and Button and Assign ID to
each component. Assign margin top, left, right for the location.
STEP-3: Now, open up the activity java file.
STEP-4: Declare few variables and the values entered in the Text Views can be read by using an id which we
have set in the XML(eXtensible markup language) code above.
STEP-5: Add the click listener to the Add button.
STEP-6: When the Add button has been clicked, add the values and store it into the sum variable.
STEP-7: To show the output in the result text view, set the sum in the textview.
What is Flutter?
Integrate a Flutter module into your Android project:
Using the File > New > New Module… menu in Android Studio in your existing Android
project, you can either create a new Flutter module to integrate, or select an existing
Flutter module that was created previously.
Cloud

OPEN
SOURCE
- PRAVEENA
BHALLAMUDI
WHAT IS OPEN SOURCE?
❖The term open source refers to something
people can modify and share because its design
is publicly accessible.
❖Open source software is software with source
code that anyone can inspect, modify, and
enhance.
➢EXAMPLES:MOZILLA FIREFOX
Is Open Source only beneficial to
Computer Programmers?
No.
➔Open source technology and open source thinking both
➔benefit programmers and non-programmers.
➔Because early inventors built much of the Internet itself on open source
technologies—like the Linux operating system and the Apache Web
server application—anyone using the Internet today benefits from open
source software.
Why do people prefer using open
source software?
➔CONTROL
➔TRAINING
➔SECURITY
People prefer open source software to proprietary software for number of
reasons, including:
What are examples of open software?
Prime examples of open-source products are:
➢Apache HTTP Server
➢the e-commerce platform osCommerce,
➢ internet browsers Mozilla Firefox.
APPLICATIONS OF OSS
★WEB DESIGN
★OPERATING SYSTEM
★COMMUNICATIONS
ADVANTAGES OF OSS
➢Simple license management. ...
➢Lower software costs. ...
➢Abundant support. ...
➢Scaling and consolidating
HOW IS OPEN SOURCE USEFUL FOR
CAREER DEVELOPMENT:
->Open source contribution gives new programmers the opportunity to
gain more experience by reading other people's code, finding and fixing
bugs, and adding their code into the main Git repository
->Most jobs require you to have a certain level of experience
before applying, even for internships or entry-level positions.

Augmented
reality
And
Virtual reality
● Augmented reality (AR) is an enhanced version of the real physical world
that is achieved through the use of digital visual elements, sound, or
other sensory stimuli delivered via technology.
What is AR?
What is VR?
●virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated
environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an
experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are
immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds. By simulating as many senses
as possible, such as vision, hearing, touch, even smell, the computer is
transformed into a gatekeeper to this artificial world.
●AR uses a real-world setting while VR is completely virtual
●AR users can control their presence in the real world; VR users are
controlled by the system
●VR requires a headset device, but AR can be accessed with a smartphone
●AR enhances both the virtual and real world while VR only enhances a
fictional reality
Difference between AR and VR
● AR/VR devices and applications can serve as assistive
technology for people with disabilities, making physical
environments more accessible by adding virtual
elements.
● By creating the feeling of “really being there,” immersive
experiences offer new possibilities for bias training in key
areas such as education and law enforcement, as well as
corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Applications Of AR/VR In Real Time World
Some of the technical skills that an AR, VR and gaming professional should
possess include:
●Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, JAVA and C#
●Ability to use 3D tools like 3D MAX and Autodesk 3D
●Video/sound production skills
●Strong UI/UX skills
●Game development
Which Skills a AR, VR Professional Should Have?
● Both AR and VR technologies will be the key trend to watch out for in this and
the coming years .This will in return create more demands for AR and VR
professionals in gaming and other industries
●India is becoming a hub for game development jobs: As reported by
Economic Times in February 2020, close to 23,000 gaming-based jobs are
available in India There is a demand for professionals in the Indian gaming
industry at entry, mid and mid-to-senior level positions.
Why is VR, AR and Gaming a good career option?
●Google
●Microsoft
●Facebook
●Unity Technologies
●Apple Inc.
●UBISOFT
●99Games
●Dream11
●Moonfrog Labs
Which are the top companies for VR, AR and
Gaming professionals?
BLOCKCHAIN
TECHNOLOGY
AKELLA AMRUTA
●Blockchain is most simply defined as a
decentralized, distributed ledger
technology that records the origin of a
digital asset.
●It is a system of recording information in a
way that makes it difficult or impossible to
change, hack, or cheat the system.
WHAT IS A BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY?
●Money transaction
●Digital ID’s
●Digital Voting
●Real estate
●e-Governance
REAL-TIME APPLICATIONS OF BLOCKCHAIN
TECHNOLOGY
HOW DOES IT WORK?
WHY THERE IS SO MUCH HYPE FOR BLOCKCHAIN
TECHNOLOGY?
●Blockchain is becoming a legal disruptor in thousands of
industries.
●Blockchain makes it virtually impossible to remove or change
data without being detected by other users. Today, most of the
transactions require approval from a regulatory authority such as
banks and the government. In blockchain technology, the
verification comes from the consensus of different users.
●This technology can revolutionize government, finance,
insurance and personal identity security, among hundreds of
other fields.
IS IT WORTH TAKING BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY AS A
CAREER?
YES!!
Blockchain developers with the expertise to help companies explore
Blockchain platforms are in high demand. Blockchain development might
be the most marketable career path today because people are eager to
realize all the benefits of Blockchain. Blockchain developers are
programmers who create applications for blockchain.
Companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Amazon.
