The document summarizes a student conference held in Rotorua, New Zealand in 2009 to introduce students and teachers to new educational software. Students taught each other how to use various free software programs. The conference was a success, with students learning cooperatively and making new friends. As a result, one of the next steps discussed was holding another conference focused on movie making using the software.

Pauline commented “As I have visited schools within my cluster student often come and comment on the day and are asking for another one.” Where to next. ?????? Another conference in 2009, with a specific focus on movie making. ( This may not be student run. We may bring in some outside experts and involve students making a movie during the day.) (Pivot has been the most popular software used and shared among the students.)
