Special adviser on Community Development to Senator Ik Obiorah 2007-2011
• Strategized and provided advice to the senator on how to use his office to impact
positively on the welfare of his constituency. Also provide research services on several
other public policy issues that would help address poverty alleviation
Appointed Commissioner of Education 2003-2003
• Oversaw the various departments within the ministry of education
• Liaise with the federal ministry of education in education development program
• Liaise with the various non-governmental agencies (both local and international)
promoting educational programs
Appointed State Commissioner for Youth and Sports 2002-2003
• Was responsible for youth development program in the ministry
• Campaigned to get the state government to address the problem of youth unemployment
• Organized seminar to address youth drop out from school, youth prostitution, and youth
violence

• Led the community in partnership with the state government to facilitate quality health
delivery, in addition to assigning doctors and nurses as needed, and provision of drugs at

• Worked with the Council Chairman to grant approval to the community to construct a
market for building material.
