computing services.
ESG questioned IT decision makers
about their organizations’ use of the
public cloud computing model and
found that overall, more than three-
quarters of organizations with 100
or more employees currently
leverage at least one of these
services. ESG also discovered that
cloud utilization is more widespread
among “younger” companies (i.e.,
those that have been in existence
for less time). This implies that
younger firms, with less entrenched
vendor relationships and less
established application delivery
processes (and associated
infrastructure), are leading the flight
to the consumption of cloud
computing services.
