range of technologies for teaching and learning:
online access, mobile devices, and low-cost
technologies such as audio and video, radio and
TV etc.

9. EDEN SIG on TEL and quality enhancement
The EDEN Special Interest Group (SIG) on Technology Enabled Learning
(TEL) and Quality Enhancement (QE) was launched during the EDEN
Conference in Jönköping 13-16 June 2017. During the EDEN conference
EDEN showed its competence and activities in the field of TEL and hosted a
series of four workshops with the themes:
• EDEN’s rationale and action plan on the work of launching a SIG on TEL
and QE
• Renewing the quality agenda
• Quality in TEL at micro, meso, and macro levels, and identification of
stakeholders
• Innovation for quality leadership
10. EDEN SIG on TEL and quality enhancement
Internal EDEN community perspectives
• to create a lively, vibrant and open platform which serves EDEN to
understand the current need, educational organizations in a learning
Europe have in the large field of quality development
• meeting point, where needs can be expressed, shared, collected and
crystalized and catalyzed into positions which can openly be promoted
External perspectives
• SIG should serve as the place which allows EDEN progressively to be
perceived as the European actor which synthesizes and formulates
Europe’s Quality Concepts, it’s heritage of quality approaches and it’s
current development in the field of open distance and e-learning to national,
European and international actors, organizations and networks.
How can we create opportunities to become visible in such a way?
11. EDEN SIG on TEL and quality enhancement
Think tank: for quality futures – collaboration with organizations, and
professionals in Europe which are quality expert
Laboratory: to gather open questions in the field and communicate them into
the existing projects, initiatives and thus serve as a facilitator in a laboratory
style
Network of networks: serve as a network of networks which is a connection
between European networks - facilitates information flow, synthesizes
outputs, to extract European quality positions
Policy and advocacy orientation: enable EDEN to actively take position
towards a European agenda on quality learning, emphasizing all issues of
quality in a European learning arena
