2. JINGLE/BED
• In our preliminary task we took on a more creative
attempt for our jingle and bed by creating and
recording the music ourselves. However we
decided that it didn’t give off a professional sound.
Learning from this I am taking on the roll of sourcing
a suitable copy right free jingle and Chloe Parker
shall take on the roll of finding an appropriate bed.
3. PRESENTERS
• We allocated Chloe Payton the role of finding
presenters for the news bulletin. After all of our
planning and research (including our survey results)
we concluded that having both Male and Female
presenters is what we want. Chloe took on the role
of finding male and female presenters with clear
and confident radio voices.
4. SCRIPT
• Chloe Parker is in charge of creating the news
bulletin script, I think this is a good idea as she
studies English AS so she has further knowledge in
the aspect.
5. RECORDED INTERVIEW
• I offered to take on this role as I think my news story
could make an interesting link to a recorded
interview. I am planning to attend the Quay Arts
music festival and gather a suitable response to be
played in the bulletin.
• Planning ahead I have confirmed a response from
a fellow student who is attending the music festival.
6. EDITING
• Chloe Parker and I are going to be doing the
editing of the news bulletin as we have the most
experience using audacity. We also share a lot of
free periods together so it will be relatively easy for
us to work on the news bulletin then.
7. RECORDING
• Clem will be in charge of recording all audio clips
and making sure they are saved to the computer.
She will need to find appropriate conditions for
each feature.
• The only recording she will not be taking part in is
my recorded interview at the Quay Arts music
Festival.
8. RUNNING ORDER
• Clem is taking on this role, she will have to work
along side Chloe Parker as she is creating the script.
Clem will be in charge of the order of our news
stories and other features involved e.g.
voxpops, OB’s and R.I’s.
9. TIME OF SHOWING
• After much debate and researching other radio
stations, we decided that our news bulletin should
be played at 5pm. Our target audience is 15-25 so
5pm is when they will most likely be travelling
home, or at home. So I assume this is when we
will reach our highest audience.
10. OUTSIDE BROADCAST
• Clem will be responsible for the outside broadcast
as we have all agreed that her news story gives a
lot of opportunity for this feature.
11. VOXPOP
• Chloe Parker will be in charge of the feature, she
will include this in her news story about the Isle of
Wight festival. We feel this story has a lot of
opportunity for mixed responses.
