Assignment on: Y.M.T-2
Md. Nazmul Haque
Batch: day-17th
I.D: 113-0053-002
01/ The chief task of the roving frame is the attenuation
of the sliver.
02/Impart protective twist in order to increase the
strength of roving.
03/ The third task can not be directly attributed to
spinning. It is used in winding of roving into a package.
So that it can be transported stored handled and used in
the ring spinning m/c.
01.Shift the cone belt corresponding to increase in the
bobbin dia.
02. Reverse the direction of the bobbin rail at the lower
& upper end of the lift stroke.
03. To form a tappered end so that the package can be
transferred handle & fed in the spinning machine.
01/ The bobbin speed is higher than the flyer speed at all
point of winding.
O2/ The winding on speed is constant through out the
process.
03/ With the increase of bobbin dia ,the bobbin speed
must be decreased.
04/ Less tenssion on roving or yarn.
05/ The variation of bobbin speed with the increase of
bobbin dia must be constant.
06/ Used in cotton spinning.
01/ Higher flyer speed: Up to 16oo-1800.
02/ Plastic Flyer: Light weight low power consumtion.
03/ greading in the oil bath.
04/ automatic tenssion controller.
05/ Can changing automatically.
06/ Modification of flyer top.
07/ Invertor motor.
08/centrally lubrication.
01/ Irreguar Roving.
02/ Roving breakage .
03/ Sliver breakage.
04/ Roller lapping.
05/ Unequal tappering .
06/ Hard roving bobbin.
07/ Ridgy bobbin .
08/Thicks thin place.
Conventional Drafting System Modern Drafting System
01:It is Roller Drafting method. 01: It is apron method.
02:Short fibre control is not good. 02:Better control of short fibre.
03:Drafe range is 06-10. 03: Drafe range is 10-15.
04:It is Irregular draft distribution. 04:It is regular draft distribution.
05: Roller weight by dead weight & hook
arrangement.
05:Roller weighting by spring loaded or
pneumatic.
06:More time requried For changing of
roller setting.
06: Less time requried.
07:More tendency of roller lopping & end
breakage.
07:Less tendency of roller lopping & end
breakage.
 Sliver trumpet’s are mounted on bar behind the rear
cylinder of the drafting arrangement design to lead
the sliver into the drafting arrangement.A second
sliver condenser is provided in the breake draf field &
a third is the main drafting field.
 Object:
 01. To bring the fibre strand bauk together again since
during drafting it continually tend’s to move apart.
 02.To keep the processing clean and proper.
 Apron: It is eudless sheed made of either synthetic rubber
or leather.they have thinkness of loom & are held taut by
tenssioning devi
 Advantages:
 01. To reduce the loss of short fibre.
 02. Help to impart hight draft.
 03: Make the roller setting flexible for changing the staple
length.
 04:It act’s like a guide to control the fibre to a possible
extent.
 Spindle: The spindle is a simply support and drive
element for the flyer, without any axuilary function. It
is a long steel shaft, mounted at it’s lower end in a
bearing.
 Types of spindle:
 01.mounted mounted.
 02.closed mounted.
 03.top mounted.
 01.To attenuate the roving to from yarn of the requried
count by drafting.
 02.To impact strength to the fibre strand by twisting.
 03.To wind up the yarn on the bobbin is form of the
resulting yarn on to bobbin.
 04.To build up the yarn on to bobbin is form of a suitable
package for storage transportation & processing.
 01:Best quality raw materials.
 02:Good but too high surface smoothness.
 03:An even surface.
 04:Good running condition.
 05:Good even surface hardness,higher than
traveller.
 O6:suitability between ring & bobbin dia.
 01:Excessive yarn tenssion.
 02:excessive irregularity of yarn.
 03:excess twist of roving.
 04:excess spindle speed.
 05:Incorrect roller setting.
 06:Incorrect roller draft.
 07:Faulty drafting system.
 08:Strutched roving.
 09:traveller fyying out.
 Combing: Combing may be defined as the remobal of
short fibre neps & impurities of card sliver by using comb
with the help of knives,brushes&teeths.
 OBJECTS:
*01: To removal short fibre blow a preclecd length.so that
spinners are able to produce fibre/better yarn.
02:To remove neps & foregin matters from the cotton &
sliver.
03:With the help of drawing and dubling combed sliver is
uniform&the fibre are straight & parallel.
 01: For finer count high draft is requried but draft
irregularity for presence of short fibre.
 02:Long fibre are finer than short fibre after
combing higher count is possible.
 03: Long fibre has less hairness but more lustre.
 04: Comber is necessary for better yarn
appearance& regularity.
 01: Lap feed by feed roller.
 02: Lap nipping by nipper.
 03:Combing by cylinder.
 04:Nipper opening & forwarding.
 05: Dataching roller backward movement.
 06: Combing by top comb.
 07: Dataching roller forward movement.
 08:Waste extraction by the brush.
