trainings to new joiners as needed. How to keep the young professionals in the

STEP 1: DEFINE THE PROBLEM
Basic question: What does Easysteelshed need to do to keep young professionals’ loyalty to
the company when the salary is not the most attractive?
Initial situation: The company:
- Values enthusiasm more than expertise.
- Not focus the most on offering attractive salary.
- Provides trainings to new joiners as needed.
- Offers the chance for interns to sign permanent
contract, promotes them to be managers.
- Invests in trainings to reinforce managers with
better skills.
- Has challenges in keeping the young
professionals who are around 37 years old.
Decision makers:
- Executive boards of the company.
Project scope:
- This involves measurements to maintain the
young professionals working for the company.
Success criteria:
- Raise young professionals’ loyalty to work for the
company due to efficient strategies in maintaining
qualified employees.

• Found in 2001, Easysteelsheds.com is part of the group Steel Shed Solutions group based in the Grand
Duchy of Luxembourg, specializing in the design and the online sale of building kits.
• Provide a standardized manufacture of metal buildings ready to assemble, with unique assets by
offering very competitive prices.
• Be one of the European market leaders, carry out more than 3,000 transactions each year remotely in
more than 50 countries (mainly on the African and European continents).
• Turnover in 2018: more than 28 million euros.
SOME RECRUITMENT INFORMATION:
• Seek to attract the best talent to create an environment in which each employee is encouraged to
learn and grow.
• Offer the chance for interns to sign permanent contract, some were promoted to mangers
managing a team of up to 10 people.
• Use several job boards, social networks, direct approach and ads on Silicon Luxembourg.
• They also have a website dedicated to recruitment: rh.group-3s.com
• Offer the opportunity for young talents to develop their potential and skills
• Invest in trainings to reinforce the managers with know-hows and soft skills in order to better manage
their teams at work.
• Offer the possibility for certain employees to change positions in order to explore their competences
and grow in others
• Support employees on a daily basic to help them succeed in their jobs by offering internal and external
training, so employees feel invested in his or her work.

• Establish some basic requirements for acceptable
behaviour at workplace.
• Managers consistently treat employees with fair,

2. Make YF feel being recognized?
• Establish Employee Recognition Programme.
• Recognize them on social media.
• Offer extended breaks, support sabbaticals for
long-term employees.
• Host an Employee Appreciation Day.
• Celebrate birthdays, surprise by free treats.
• Make each employee feel special.
• Show honest appreciation for a completed task.
• Offer promotion opportunities for talented and
professional employees.
3. To keep the positive and trusted environment?
• Encourage team collaboration and communication
to foster meaningful relationships.
• Set clear objectives to guide employee
performance.
• Empower employees to share their thoughts.
• Welcoming individuals from all backgrounds and
celebrating their differences.

• Every individual should feel valued and head,

additional subsidies/ grants from Government
Offer flexibility (online lessons for secondary school students)
Offer others non-monetary benefits - f.e. free lessons for
tutor’s children (help with homework)
Target retired teachers – they are experienced and might be
interested to work for smaller compensation

Entrepreneur: Kevin Muller (co-founder)
Baseline: open source password manager designed for team collaboration. Securely generate,
store, manage and monitor your team credentials.
Challenge: since its creation, Passbolt didn’t put any effort in communication, as their product
had enough traction without it. Now after several fundraisings, they’re looking into
communication and marketing. What would be the best way to proceed?
Good communication helps businesses develop trust with their clients and articulate
needs, expectations and any challenges.
