Singapore 
I want to tell you about my memorable time in Singapore. It was one 
of the best holidays I ever had. 
I shall never forget the spectacular sight of the city. I saw from Mount 
Fable that night. The roller-coaster ride, the stunts performed by the 
dolphins and the killer whale at the Sea World were also exciting. I 
shall remember the thrill of having been on one of the longest rides in 
the monorail in Sentosa Island for many years to come. 
I also enjoyed various varieties of seafood at the makeshift roadside 
stalls at the Chinatown night market. I also enjoyed the shopping 
trips. My family and friends agreed that the souvenirs were value for 
money, especially the silk scarves with pretty prints and the attractive 
key chains. 
Morning, I go to School 
My mom got me ready for school and then I had to wait 
for him to brush my hair and put each piece in just the 
perfect position. I had to show her my shoes that I had 
cleaned the night before by me and my school bag 
should be neatly placed on my shoulder before I could 
get near the door in my room. Only after my mother was 
completely satisfied, whether I would be allowed to rush 
out of my house. I would leave home at 7 am at the 
point and make your way down the path. After walking 
about 500 meters I could see the tower of my high 
school. Play will be full in the summer and the noise 
would make me want to rush into the courtyard and into 
a good game of football before the bell. that's how I now 
want to go to school.

MY MEMORABLE TIME IN SINGAPORE 
I want to tell you about my memorable time in

Wonderful Beach, Parangtritis 
Beach 
Paragtritis beach was one of beach that I ever met beside Pangandaran , and Kute beach. I went to Parangtritis beach 
when I was in senior high school. I went to this beach beside for finding the data for my final report; it was also used 
to fill the holiday time. 
The first impression when I arrived in Parangtritis beach was very beautiful and very extraordinary. It was because the 
sea’s wave was so big and the sand on that beach was so white. Then, when I and my friends saw those things, we run 
to that beach. Nevertheless, it was very hard for us when running. It was because I and my friends used sandals or 
shoes when I and my friends run on the sands. For that, I and my friends decided to put off our sandals and shoes to 
be put another area. After that, I and my friend run to the wave easily. 
Then, one thing that I wanted you to know was when you would visit this beach. You might not wear shirt or skirt 
(clothes) in green color. It was caused by the existence of myth in that area about the existence of Nyi Roro kidul, the 
master in that beach. That myth was about if there were people who would visit this beach, they were forbidden to 
wear clothes in green color, if those people opposed it. The people would get bad luck, or even that people would be 
lost in the sea and their bodies would not be found. 
From the myth above, I and my friends were not brave to wear cloth in green one when we playing in that beach. 
Nevertheless, if there was anybody who worn the green, she/he changed into other colors. Then, if we did not bring 
another cloth which had another color, we were no afraid. It was caused that we could find many stores which 
provided clothes; especially cloth only was used on beach there. Besides, the facility above, I and my friends also got 
other facilities like horse (it was used to go round the beach), surfing tools and others. I and my friends really enjoyed 
that holiday.
My Busy Day 
Last Monday was a busy day for me. I spent my time to do a lot 
of activities from college to my home. 
First, at the morning, I did my presentation's assignment with my 
partner, she was Nurhidayah. It took 3 hours. And then we went to the 
campus for joining lecture. But, the lecturer said that our presentation 
would be started next week. It made us disappointed. The class was 
finished at 12.30. After that, I had to go home because my 
grandmother was in a bad condition. She was hospitalized. So, it was a 
must for me to back home at that time. When I got there, there were 
so many members of my family. There were about 10 people. My aunt, 
my niece, my uncle and some of my cousins. We all hoped that our 
grandmother would get better soon. 
Those activities made my day busy.

For Complement (Adjective, Noun, Adverb) We used to 
WAS for He, She, It, Name, I 
Were for They, We, You
• We often use the past simple to talk about a completed past events.complete 
shorter action that happened during the longer action. 
• Simple Past also show that an activity or situation began adn ended at a particular 
time in the past. 
 To express completed action in the past. 
I went to Bandung last week 
 To express a series of completed actions 
Aldi woke up, dressed up, and went to scholl 
 To show duration in the past 
Nita called me for about ten minutes 
 To show habit in the past 
I often played hide and sheek when I was child 
 To describe past facts or generalizations which are no longer true. 
Habibi was poor, but now he’s wealthy
• Regular Verb 
• Verbs End in e+d= smile+d------ smile 
Verbs End in e+d= locate+d-------- located 
• Verbs End in consonant+ y= i +ed= deny-------denied 
Verbs End in consonant+ y= i +ed= studey-----studied 
• Verbs End in vowel+sonsonat (not w or y)= double the consonat, 
then+ ed= rob------robbed, stop------stopped 
• Verbs End in anything including-w+ ed= knock--------knocked, 
borrow-------borrowed 
• Irregular Verb 
• In irregular verbs, the verbs usuallydo not end in-ed 
Examples= build------built, fly-------flew, keep------kept, fall-------fell 
• Meanwhile, there are some verbs past which are similar to their 
verbs base. 
Examples= Hit------hit, put-------put, cut-----cut, hurt------hurt, let-----let

  • 2. Observe these pictures! Singapore I want to tell you about my memorable time in Singapore. It was one of the best holidays I ever had. I shall never forget the spectacular sight of the city. I saw from Mount Fable that night. The roller-coaster ride, the stunts performed by the dolphins and the killer whale at the Sea World were also exciting. I shall remember the thrill of having been on one of the longest rides in the monorail in Sentosa Island for many years to come. I also enjoyed various varieties of seafood at the makeshift roadside stalls at the Chinatown night market. I also enjoyed the shopping trips. My family and friends agreed that the souvenirs were value for money, especially the silk scarves with pretty prints and the attractive key chains. Morning, I go to School My mom got me ready for school and then I had to wait for him to brush my hair and put each piece in just the perfect position. I had to show her my shoes that I had cleaned the night before by me and my school bag should be neatly placed on my shoulder before I could get near the door in my room. Only after my mother was completely satisfied, whether I would be allowed to rush out of my house. I would leave home at 7 am at the point and make your way down the path. After walking about 500 meters I could see the tower of my high school. Play will be full in the summer and the noise would make me want to rush into the courtyard and into a good game of football before the bell. that's how I now want to go to school.

  • 5. Wonderful Beach, Parangtritis Beach Paragtritis beach was one of beach that I ever met beside Pangandaran , and Kute beach. I went to Parangtritis beach when I was in senior high school. I went to this beach beside for finding the data for my final report; it was also used to fill the holiday time. The first impression when I arrived in Parangtritis beach was very beautiful and very extraordinary. It was because the sea’s wave was so big and the sand on that beach was so white. Then, when I and my friends saw those things, we run to that beach. Nevertheless, it was very hard for us when running. It was because I and my friends used sandals or shoes when I and my friends run on the sands. For that, I and my friends decided to put off our sandals and shoes to be put another area. After that, I and my friend run to the wave easily. Then, one thing that I wanted you to know was when you would visit this beach. You might not wear shirt or skirt (clothes) in green color. It was caused by the existence of myth in that area about the existence of Nyi Roro kidul, the master in that beach. That myth was about if there were people who would visit this beach, they were forbidden to wear clothes in green color, if those people opposed it. The people would get bad luck, or even that people would be lost in the sea and their bodies would not be found. From the myth above, I and my friends were not brave to wear cloth in green one when we playing in that beach. Nevertheless, if there was anybody who worn the green, she/he changed into other colors. Then, if we did not bring another cloth which had another color, we were no afraid. It was caused that we could find many stores which provided clothes; especially cloth only was used on beach there. Besides, the facility above, I and my friends also got other facilities like horse (it was used to go round the beach), surfing tools and others. I and my friends really enjoyed that holiday.
  • 6. My Busy Day Last Monday was a busy day for me. I spent my time to do a lot of activities from college to my home. First, at the morning, I did my presentation's assignment with my partner, she was Nurhidayah. It took 3 hours. And then we went to the campus for joining lecture. But, the lecturer said that our presentation would be started next week. It made us disappointed. The class was finished at 12.30. After that, I had to go home because my grandmother was in a bad condition. She was hospitalized. So, it was a must for me to back home at that time. When I got there, there were so many members of my family. There were about 10 people. My aunt, my niece, my uncle and some of my cousins. We all hoped that our grandmother would get better soon. Those activities made my day busy.

  • 8. • We often use the past simple to talk about a completed past events.complete shorter action that happened during the longer action. • Simple Past also show that an activity or situation began adn ended at a particular time in the past.  To express completed action in the past. I went to Bandung last week  To express a series of completed actions Aldi woke up, dressed up, and went to scholl  To show duration in the past Nita called me for about ten minutes  To show habit in the past I often played hide and sheek when I was child  To describe past facts or generalizations which are no longer true. Habibi was poor, but now he’s wealthy
  • 9. • Regular Verb • Verbs End in e+d= smile+d------ smile Verbs End in e+d= locate+d-------- located • Verbs End in consonant+ y= i +ed= deny-------denied Verbs End in consonant+ y= i +ed= studey-----studied • Verbs End in vowel+sonsonat (not w or y)= double the consonat, then+ ed= rob------robbed, stop------stopped • Verbs End in anything including-w+ ed= knock--------knocked, borrow-------borrowed • Irregular Verb • In irregular verbs, the verbs usuallydo not end in-ed Examples= build------built, fly-------flew, keep------kept, fall-------fell • Meanwhile, there are some verbs past which are similar to their verbs base. Examples= Hit------hit, put-------put, cut-----cut, hurt------hurt, let-----let
