2. What is recruitment and why is it an
important step in the growth of any business?
• Hiring and recruiting are processes that involved in every business. It involves the hiring
of new talent in order for the company to be successful. During this process, recruiting
can be a difficult task in deciding on who is the best qualified for the position.
• Recruiting is vital in order to help grow any business. When the candidates are hired, it is
their duty to perform the service that they mentioned they would perform. It is the
managers role to identify their strengths and weaknesses and report that to them
weekly.
• It is also the managers job to choose the right candidate for the position because by
doing so, it shows that the manager is actively attentive to the interviewee rather than
filling the position.
• An important tool to use in the interview process is personality assessments. Personality
assessments provide managers and bosses a way to identify the strengths and
weaknesses in an individual and if they are qualified for the position.
• Interviews help with the process of getting recruited by a company. Interviews provide
detailed information on what the company is looking for out of a successful employee.
3. What kind of qualities does a Six Sigma Black
Belt look for during the hiring process?
• Six Sigma Black Belts actively pay attention to the hiring process because it is one of the
most important steps in creating a better working environment for the company.
• Without the useful tools and educational knowledge from Six Sigma training, a Six Sigma
would not be able to identify the characteristics of a successful employee under Six
Sigma management.
• Some of the aspects that are identified in the hiring process include: personality, logical
mental awareness, communication, assertiveness, team player, etc.
• These qualities help Six Sigma Black Belts to understand why it is important to hire someone with
these characteristics. Using these characteristics and identifying the strengths and the weaknesses
of individuals can greatly increase the chances of a successful business altogether.
• I am looking for qualified individuals that are motivated to learn, willing to take on new challenges
in the work place, create new goals for the company, and contribute to help growing the company.
• Without these qualities I am helpless as a Six Sigma Black Belt trainee. My job is at jeopardy if I
hire someone who does not possess these skills and I would not be fulfilling to the requirements
of understanding Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Six Sigma Black Belt is a long process of
learning and it takes some time to full understand why the tools that are used in the business can
greatly increase the chances of achieving goals.
4. What are some questions that I ask?
• Here are some questions that I ask the first time I meet with an individual:
• “What are some of your strengths?”
• “Can you describe to me some of your weaknesses?”
• “Can you describe to me some of the difficulties of performing a job function?”
• “Can you remember a time that you were under stress from a related job function or
activity?”
• “Can you describe why you think that you are qualified for the position?”
• “Do you have reliable transportation?”
• “Are you willing to work on commission?”
• “Are you capable of speaking with many people at a time?”
• “Can you describe to me when you cooperated with working in teams in working
setting?”
5. What is a business plan and why is it
important to growing your business?
• When I was, first introduced to the ideas of business plans I knew that by creating
one that it could potentially increase that chances at achieving short and long
term goals.
• It is also vital for business ethics and procedures. Business plans contribute to a
wide array of knowledge in the field that you are in. It shows one’s level of
dedication and knowledge in the related industry.
• Business plans create ideas and innovations that contribute to the managements
primary roles in the company. It shows statistics, mission statements, analysis
reports, expense reports, financial reports, etc.
• When I first created my business plan I was working with a Roofing company. I
worked with a professional business consultant who helped me shape the
business plan so that I could present it to the investors in the community. I knew
that by creating a solid business plan, it could enable me to grow as an employee
and give me the experience that I was looking for.
6. What you do when you don’t have the resources
to understand where you are at in the company?
• Understanding how Six Sigma Black Belt operates is a vital step in
helping to modify the problems that are in companies. For example,
what does a manager do when they don’t have the resources to finish
a project in a company. Six Sigma training teaches you everything you
need to know about how managers operate under considerable
stress. The important thing to remember working as a Six Sigma Black
Belt trainee is understanding the tools that the program teaches you
to successfully accomplish a certain task.

7. Locating the problems in a start up company and
trying to assess using Six Sigma Black Belt Training
principles
• Not have the expenses to operate the company efficiently.
• Not having solid short and long term goals.
• Not having daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly agendas.
8. How do I get a company to get the expenses in
order to fully operate as a successful company?
• First, I needed to create a business plan that would help investors
understand why as a roofing company we need money to get the business
started. It was easy task for me, but the outcome on meeting with investors
was uncertain. So, I sought a professional business consultant who has the
experience in understanding business plans and business objectives.
• So, I created the business plan putting as much information as I could in
order for the investors to understand that by getting the funds that we
need, our company would become successful and end up paying the debts
later on down the road.
• What did I need to report on the business plan that was so vital to the
getting the funds that we needed? A financial estimate and report that
shows how experiences we are as consultants and how we know that by
doing this we can accomplish these objectives as quickly as possible.
