This document describes an automated parking system created using an Arduino Uno microcontroller. The system uses sensors to detect empty parking spots and controls a barrier to allow vehicles to enter when a spot is available. It displays the number of open spots on an LCD screen. When a vehicle parks, the sensor updates the number of available spots. The system aims to optimize parking and reduce traffic, pollution, and management costs while improving user experience and safety. It has applications for office buildings, malls, airports, train stations, and streets. The document includes the components used, code, advantages, and bibliography.

5. Projects Objectives
To design and build prototype of an automated car park system.
To learn how to control the prototype system for automated parking.
To acknowledge how to program arduino and make it work on system.
6. Arduino automated Parking System
Microcontroller Based parking System
Keeps track of the number of cars parked
Shows the number of slots unoccupied.
Control the gate arm by itself.
8. Working:
This system is capable of finding
the empty slots that are available
for parking automatically. If the
slot is empty in the automated car
parking the new vehicles are allowed
to enter the parking else the entrance
is blocked by using the servo barrier
in case no empty slot is found by the
system. The visitors can see the status
for the availability of the free space
outside the parking on a 16×2 LCD.
12. Advantages of automatic Parking System
1) Optimized parking
2) Lesser traffic
3) Lesser pollution
4) Smart User Experience
5) Exploring Revenue
6) Increased Safety
7) Real-Time Data and Trend Insight
8) Improved Management Costs
13. Applications of proposed system:
1) Office Buildings: Implementation of proposed system in Official Complexes
will help the staff to park their cars without any hurdles thereby avoiding
waste of time.
2) Super Market Complex: It is observed that during sales and festivals large
crowd is attracted towards malls and the parking is very haphazard.
3) Railway stations and Airports: A lot of people nowadays commute large
distances by train daily to their workplace. Thus they leave their own
vehicles at the railway station for the day.
4) Streets: It is observed everywhere India that while shopping from the local
markets and shops people leave the vehicles unattended on the streets.
14. Real life Implementation
Enhanching the comfort and safety of driving in constrained enviroment to
steer the car with attention.
To ensure collision free motion within the available space.
