Most Argentines descend from
colonial-era settlers and of 19th

century immigrants
from Europe.

intonation and

13. It was built at the end of the
XIX century as ‘The Italian
Society Union and Fraternity of
Mutual Help’. It has been
enlarged but it conserves its
original style.
14. This building was oficially inagurated on 1st
April,1863 as ‘The French Society of Mutual
Help’. It has had many multiple uses lately
without changing its original appearance.
15. It was opened in
1920 as a place to
help both the
Spanish community
in our city and their
descendants. It still
conserves its
original style and
aim.

the centre of the
city and is used
to celebrate
parties carried
out by the
community of
Vasque people
that live here.
17. It is the most modern of them. It was built
about twenty years ago. It is used by a large
number of Bolivian people who live in our
city to practice sports and practice typical
dances.

gather in these places to celebrate
parties or eat typical dishes .
But these are also cultural places
to learn typical dances, sports
and languages. .
19. Some of these communities keep
some old traditions and still
celebrate some festivals.

For example, the community of Bolivia in
our city celebrate the day of the
Guadalupe Virgen on 8th
December and
that of the Copacabana Virgin on 7th
September.
