How to Manage time While Preparing for IELTS
1. How to Manage Time While Preparing for IELTS?
Lot of the times when working for something, one of the biggest hurdles is time management. So, it can
be in the preparation for IELTS exam. But, the sad truth is if you do not manage your time, you will soon
be taken by surprise as to where did all that time fly?
So, to not be in such a situation, here are some tips for you to steward your time in a better way while
preparing the exam:
1. Focus your efforts to what is essential:
Some time it is natural to get carried away with lot of things that are really essential, for example,
trying to learn a lot of new words in short time, trying to write in a very complicated way but
losing out on the meaning totally, or trying to get lot many points for a wring topic and so on. So
you can rather focus on writing grammatically correct sentences, on organising the essay properly,
on managing time, on spelling and such. It will help you much better.
2. Join a coaching class:
This is one of the best steps you can take if you are not sure as to where you stand and how to go
about your preparation for the test. Since the trainers know how to guide students and can give
you feedback your performance and give suggestions for improvements; this is one of the best
steps you can take to prepare for IELTS in a short time. Also, it will help your focus your energies
properly.
2. 3. Make a schedule:
This is one favour you can do yourself. IT is very easy to drift when one is onto a task. It will pay
rich dividends.
4. Do mock tests:
Go for a Mock tests. While doing practice test you will also come to know your shortcoming and
work on them accordingly and be ready for the actual test.
5. Have a target score:
Having a score in mind and working at it will be a great motivation for you, because any effort
without a focus and a goal can be very cumbersome and will lead to demotivation and loss of
energy. So, have a score in mind and go at it with all your might and you will reap the fruits of
your efforts.
