The children are wearing school uniform which is what a cover shot for a school magazine needs. Their uniform is well presented and
their tie and top button are done correctly which suggests that the school is very tidy and respectable. And could further show that
the children respect the school rules which could show they enjoy school life enough to stick to the rules.
3. This is a medium shot which was generate from a extreme long shot. This
shot would work a lot better if all the scenes behind could be removed.
The boy in the shot has very happy facial expressions which could show he
finds going to school fun. The boy is also giving direct eye contact to the
viewer which could show the reader he really does enjoy school and he is
not afraid to show it. The boy isn’t wearing a school uniform which could
show that the school is more relaxed which is why he enjoys his education
so much. However the boy is carrying many folders and books which could
show is education is very good and filled with exciting new learning
experiences. This could further link to why his facial expressions are so
happy. The boy is also holding on to his books close to his chest which
could suggest his education means a lot him and he holds it very close to
his heart. The boy also has a back pack bag on as well as holding his books
and folders which shows how packed his education is that it over flows out
of his back pack.

could show they are very cheeky at school. In the background of the children is a beach scene which shows there
school is different to any others as it is by the beach. All the children are close together which also shows how
friend ships build up together through out school . However I believe to have a large group of children on the front
like this would mean that other things such as subheadings would have to be removed so the cover was not to busy.
So therefore I believe this type of shot should not be used for a front cover.

By the child been asleep at her school desk shows how trying school can be for young pupils. I believe this shot works
better than a group shot as the student can be seen clear and it allows room on the cover for subheadings and
mastheads which are key to making a successful magazine. The girl sleeping at her desk could also suggest that she
finds school boring which is why she falls asleep. I believe this shot would work well within the magazine alongside a
story or on a news page, however I believe it is not appropriate for a front cover shot.
