Regional meetings in Africa - 2015  The 5th African RCE Conference  Theme: “Building stronger RCEs/ESD Network for Transforming Communities”  Held in Entebbe, Uganda from 14th to 16th October, 2015, hosted by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) Uganda and the Ugandan RCEs (Greater Eastern Uganda and Mbarara).  Topics discussed/ outcome:

Regional meetings in Africa - 2016  The 6th African RCE Conference  Theme: “Developing Capacities of African RCEs for the implementation of the Global Action Programme on ESD and the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals”  Held in Nairobi, Kenya from 24th to 25th October, 2016, hosted by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) Uganda and RCE Greater Nairobi.  Topics discussed/ outcome:
  • 5. Regional meetings in Africa - 2016  TICAD VI side event  Theme: “Strengthening the Role of African Regional Centres of Expertise to Deliver the SDGs through  Education for Sustainable Development”  Held in Nairobi, Kenya from 26th October, 2016.  Topics discussed:  Outcome: Policy brief to be published ?
  • 6. Inter-RCE collaborations  The First Virtual Youth Conference in Africa Held in August, 2016 Organized by RCE Minna and RCE Grand Rapids on youth empowerment and vocational training  African Youth Network  Collaborative projects?
