9. DATA MANAGAMENT
Allianz and IBM concluded an agreement in Munich regarding support for the operation of Allianz's data
centres.
IBM will be acting as the global provider of IT operations services for Allianz with effect from April 1, 2014
by supporting the transformation of the company's global IT infrastructure.
Allianz currently has 140 data centres worldwide and plans to consolidate and reduce these to six data
centres. Being a hardware vendor, IBM is one of the largest IT infrastructure outsourcing services firms in
the world.
The aim is to create a global IT infrastructure that is robust in its ability to withstand natural catastrophes
and disasters and that meets the very highest requirements in terms of quality and ease of use.
Allianz expects to have completed the transfer to the new IT infrastructure and its operation in full by the
end of 2017.
10. STRATAGIES

interactions, communicate product information and generate more sales.

cut costs without damaging service delivery.

It has 17 million customers. RSA was formed in 1996. It has over 20 million customers around the world
AXA UK PLC: AXA UK was founded in 1985. This helps to insure assets and assure wealth protection. It
provides insurance and other financial products and services to 16 million customers throughout the
UK. Its offerings include property/casualty, life, travel, and health insurance, as well as asset management
and financial planning products.
Aviva PLC: is a British multinational insurance company headquartered in London. It has around 34 million
customers across 16 countries. Aviva is the largest general insurer in UK that provides a leading life and
pensions. It focuses on five markets in Europe and Asia. The company is focused on the growth markets of
China and South East Asia.
14. CONCLUSION
Technology cannot replace the trust-based relationship between insurers and their clients but it
can enhance it—offering better ways to understand and satisfy customer needs.
