Title : Consultant steel structure and tanks Senior Engineer.
The academics complex was created as a modern icon for the campus that could hold numerous areas of program
elements in a single unified manner. The three buildings of the academics complex are contained under the super-
roof structure and linked by the large curved circulation front piece. The courtyard that internally links these buildings
serves as a multipurpose and dynamic outdoor area for students and faculty.
The academic complex holds the College of Nursing, College of Applied Medical Sciences, University
Administration, University Center & Deanship, and Research facilities. These programs vary greatly in size, function,
access abilities and gender usage. However, all are link by the roof and courtyard spaces.
The major public spaces of the academics colleges are located along the curved front piece of the building.
Bridges provide systems for connection, linking public spaces to activate more distant areas while tying to the
University Center.
The work scope was Supervision of construction for all buildings steel structure including Academic Building, Sports
&Recreation Complex and Utilities Buildings. Supervision of steel structures erection and welding for 3,500 ton of
heavy steel structure as per AISC and AWS D1.1. Supervision of fabrications &installations of two storage water
tank 650 m3 as per API 650.
Project name : NEW MAIN BRINE INTAKE PUMPING STATION AT THE DEAD SEA for Arab Potash
Company, Jordan.
Project scope : erection and welding of 4,000 ton of heavy steel structure at off-shore jetty & erection and

Title : Consultant Steel Structure and Piping Senior Engineer.
New Main Brine Intake Pumping Station at the Dead Sea, Jordan. Study of various means for increasing the
supply of the Dead Sea Brine despite recession of the Dead Sea water level; these broadly include either
rehabilitation of the existing 2 intake pumping stations, or the introduction of a third station. The stations comprise
jetty heads with pumps and supports, roadways, pontoons in addition to dredging works and all appurtenances.
Preparation of detailed engineering design and tender documents, offshore and onshore piping material selection
to withstand the heavy corrosion and erosion characteristics of the Dead Sea Water, construction contract
management, and supervision of construction for the selected alternative.
Main Tasks and Duties
 Verifying /reviewing all project quality documents prepared by the subcontractor such as method of
erection statement, NDT procedures, RT maps, Dimension procedures, welding procedure specifications
and inspection test plans.
 Verifying that the contractor adhere to the approved procedures.
 Reviewing and approving pipe lines shop drawings.
 Preparing and reviewing the field erected shop drawings for site field necessities.
 Reviewing the out of code/specification tolerance based on the various codes/ specifications tolerance and

Title : Consultant Mechanical Quality Senior Engineer.
Plant Optimisation and Production Expansion Projects for the Arab Potash Company - Supervision of the Cold
Crystallisation Plant (CCP), Compaction Plant (CP) and Coarse Carnalite, Jordan. Supervision of a new state- of-
the-art Cold Crystallization Plant (CCP) as part of the expansion works required to reach a total Potash production
of 2.45 million tons per year. The new CCP decomposes, under controlled conditions, the carnalite harvested from

the ponds, and then crystallizes potash which is then carefully upgraded to commercial standards for sale as
fertiliser. Works include several large tanks and process vessels (crystallizers and thickeners); specialised custom
designed process equipment such as centrifuges, screening circuits, potash compaction equipment, product dryer
and cooler plant, gas scrubbers, etc; and extensive specialised process piping to transfer the carnalite and potash
slurries between process units.
Main Tasks and Duties
 Verifying /reviewing all project quality documents prepared by the subcontractor Petrojet (PTJ) such as
method of erection statement, NDT procedures, RT maps, Dimension procedures, welding procedure
specifications and inspection test plans.
 Verifying that PTJ adhere to the approved procedures.
 Preparing and reviewing the field erected shop drawings for site field necessities.
 Reviewing the out of code/specification tolerance based on the various codes/ specifications tolerance and
work man ship/experience and taking the final decision.

Scope of Work Summary/ Job Description:
• Performs visual and dimension inspections for welds and material.
• Working in a/m projects According to AWS D1.1, ASME, EN, API650, API620 and ASME B31.3.
• Checking welding book (WPS, PQR, and Welder Certifications according to the relevant codes).
• Checking condition of welding equipments of these welding processes: SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW,
and SAW.
• Classifying and verifying the conformance of base metals and filler metals identifications.
• Report contractor deficiencies by/ with making and raising NCRs wherever necessary & ensures that these
are finalized.
• Perform, review, approve and authorize the quality - / inspection - / NDT documents (like PQP, ITP and
NDT reports).
• Ensures proper storage and preservation of materials and sensitive items and conducting the material
receiving inspections with reviewing its dimension, visual inspection, code marking and material test
certificates according to applicable working codes ASME, ASTM, API or EN.
When appropriate authorizes / witnesses contractor’s pre-commission tests and / or calibrate equipment
prior to installation.
• Follow and Check the Pre-assembly according to applicable codes/specs (connection, alignment, leveling &
positioning of members and of joints& dimensions).
• Checking of machining for mechanical parts (Surface Roughness& Dimension according to specific of
client or applicable code & shop acceptance).
• Review/implement approved hydrostatic test procedure and review/supervise the PWHT.
• Assure that all the quality requirements and inspections are performed in accordance with the approved
Project Quality Plan and / or Inspection Test Plan.
• Monitors construction quality on a daily basis.
• Monitors and stays abreast of the day-to-day work of Contractor and / or inspection services specific to
his/her discipline and ensures their qualifications.

Discusses quality deficiencies, construction deviations and inspection findings and develops win-win
solutions.
• Finalize and check the documentations of the projects before approved form the third party and client
• Assure that all inspection records / quality documents and relevant project documents will be maintained

• Addresses QA/QC requirements associated with equipment manufacture and supply, fabrication and field
assembly/construction are fully met.

The stations comprise jetty heads with pumps and supports, roadways, pontoons in addition to dredging works and all appurtenances. Preparation of detailed engineering design and tender documents, offshore and onshore piping material selection to withstand the heavy corrosion and erosion characteristics of the Dead Sea Water, construction contract management, and supervision of construction for the selected alternative. Plant Optimisation and Production Expansion Projects for the Arab Potash Company - Supervision of the Cold Crystallisation Plant (CCP), Compaction Plant (CP) and Coarse Carnalite, Jordan. Supervision of a new state- of- the-art Cold Crystallization Plant (CCP) as part of the expansion works required to reach a total Potash production of 2.45 million tons per year. Scope of Work Summary/ Job Description: • Performs visual and dimension inspections for welds and material. • Working in a/m projects According to AWS D1.1, ASME, EN, API650, API620 and ASME B31.3. • Checking welding book (WPS, PQR, and Welder Certifications according to the relevant codes). • Checking condition of welding equipments of these welding processes: SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SAW. • Classifying and verifying the conformance of base metals and filler metals identifications. • Report contractor deficiencies by/ with making and raising NCRs wherever necessary & ensures that these are finalized. • Perform, review, approve and authorize the quality - / inspection - / NDT documents (like PQP, ITP and NDT reports). • Ensures proper storage and preservation of materials and sensitive items and conducting the material receiving inspections with reviewing its dimension, visual inspection, code marking and material test certificates according to applicable working codes ASME, ASTM, API or EN. When appropriate authorizes / witnesses contractor’s pre-commission tests and / or calibrate equipment prior to installation. • Follow and Check the Pre-assembly according to applicable codes/specs (connection, alignment, leveling & positioning of members and of joints& dimensions). • Checking of machining for mechanical parts (Surface Roughness& Dimension according to specific of client or applicable code & shop acceptance). • Review/implement approved hydrostatic test procedure and review/supervise the PWHT. • Assure that all the quality requirements and inspections are performed in accordance with the approved Project Quality Plan and / or Inspection Test Plan. • Monitors construction quality on a daily basis. • Monitors and stays abreast of the day-to-day work of Contractor and / or inspection services specific to his/her discipline and ensures their qualifications. Discusses quality deficiencies, construction deviations and inspection findings and develops win-win solutions. • Finalize and check the documentations of the projects before approved form the third party and client • Assure that all inspection records / quality documents and relevant project documents will be maintained and archived according the project execution plan (hardcopy and / or electronically). • Addresses QA/QC requirements associated with equipment manufacture and supply, fabrication and field assembly/construction are fully met. • Brings any safety, environmental or security issues to the attention of the Mechanical Lead / Shell Construction Manager.
