This document describes LEADHER, a grant program run by the International Association of Universities that provides up to 10,000 Euros per project to strengthen research management capacity through international partnerships. The program offers competitive grants for senior higher education representatives to visit partner institutions for professional development and collaboration. It has funded projects in research areas like policy development, management, and capacity building. The next application deadline is February 10, 2013.

4. LEADHER - Learning Visits
Each LEADHER project involves single or reciprocal
learning visits - organized exchanges between
individuals or teams of institutional administrators
(Vice presidents, Deans, Directors of services, etc.),
from one partner institution to another.
Visiting institutions may elect to send a single
representative or a small team to the host
institution.
Learning visits may last 15 days or less. Partnering
institutions may choose to carry out one or two
learning visits, pending sufficient resources.

5. LEADHER - How to apply
The LEADHER Grants are offered on a competitive
basis after review by the Peer Selection Committee,
of all eligible applications submitted.
Open to IAU Members in good standing (no
arrears in membership fees).
Partnerships must involve South-South or North-
South cooperation.
The Guidelines for submission are available
online.
The deadlines for submission are announced
regularly.
