כל הסיבות להגיע ל Watec 2013
1.
2. Following the Economic Attachés Conference in Jerusalem last December, where we presented the concept of
the WATEC ISRAEL 2013 Exhibition and Conference, we are requesting that you enhance your promotional
activities for this event.
WATEC ISRAEL 2011 was a great success due to the outstanding contribution of the commercial attachés and
the Israeli embassies all over the world. This contribution was well recognized by all players involved and,
particularly, by members of the Israeli industry. By now, WATEC Israel is well globally recognized as a main
technological water event.
3. WATEC ISRAEL 2013 will focus on water technologies and management. A major part of the conference will
dedicate itself to two important issues:
1. Technological solutions for industrial segments (such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, mines, oil and gas)
2. In light of the dearth of financial resources in the urban sector and despite the great need to upgrade services and
infrastructure, WATEC ISRAEL 2013 will focus on urban water system management, with an emphasis on a system-
wide perspective. This will include legal framework, policy, pricing and the use of new efficient, fast and economical
technologies. The second day of the conference will focus on smart cities cooperating with the OECD.
The event will include a topical conference, professional seminars and an investors conference.
The exhibition will include two major halls and an innovation pavilion.
All the panels and lectures will be held in English, with the exception of specific seminars.
4.
In regard to international visitors, we would like to target the following groups and reach the following numbers:
• Participants from 15 mining companies
• Participants from 15 oil and gas companies
• Participants from 25 food and beverage companies
• Participants from 25 pharmaceutical companies
• Participants from 10 textile companies
• Participants from 10 paper mill companies
• Participants to include 50 water companies, including services companies (utilities)
• 80 participants from integrators, distributors, large consultants and engineering companies
• 150 investors to include VCs, investment banks, as well as institutional and private investors, etc.
5. In the next few days, each attaché will receive a specific list of proposed companies according to the target
groups.
In order for us all to achieve these goals, each attaché is requested to update the attached Excel spreadsheet with
his/her own targets regarding delegations, VIPs, etc… and to return it to the relevant desk and to Boaz Albaranes
before February 25, 2013.
During the event, the foreign visitors will be able to meet Israeli cleantech companies, government officials,
representatives of academia and tour relevant locations in Israel.
Promotional Activities
In addition to the work plan of 2013 and the activities related to WATEC ISRAEL, we are encouraging and
welcoming you to take advantage of promotional activities that are not included in the work plan.
Please send us your budget requests for various promotional activities (including exhibition/conference/seminars)
which you wish to organize or in which you wish to participate.
Please send your requests to Gilad Peled, Adi Yefet-Beeri and Niv Morag before February 25th
6. Invitation letters
It is possible to obtain invitation letters of invitation from our Minister, Director-General or WATEC's chairman.
Invitations to ministers, deputy ministers and governors should be coordinated with the appropriate regional desk

letter signed by the Minister or Director-General, please fill in the name of the invitee on the letter, change the

Speakers and Experts for Exhibition Promotion
We are in touch with various speakers and experts who travel abroad on a regular basis and who attend relevant
conferences and seminars. These experts have agreed to assist in promoting WATEC ISRAEL.
Each speaker contains a different field of expertise as well as differing levels of knowledge about WATEC ISRAEL and
the Israeli industry. When we receive the specific information from the speaker, such as, destination, time slot and
availability - we will inform the relevant attaché. At that point, it is important to have a preliminary discussion with the
expert in order to ascertain and fine tune what his/her strengths are. You may apply for or request additional targeted
budgets in order to fund these activities.
The contact person for this matter will be Avi Friedman
