Project Development key responsibilities:
Managing multiple commercial renovation projects with budgets up to $1.6M.
Project team leader responsible for navigating through conception, design, development, construction and wrap-
up phases. Collaborating with design technologists, construction manager, administrative staff, retail specialists,
marketing team and Retail Service Manager (RSM).
Developing project timelines by consulting and coordinating with the design and construction team for effective
time management within work load requirements.
Ensuring project goals, scope and details are properly identified to ensure accuracy and efficiency during the
preliminary development, budget (Class 3) and design phases.
Creating floor plan layouts until client satisfaction. Retail layout varying from 3,000 sqft to 83,000 sqft.
Collaborating with the Retail Specialist Team to review layout expectation in relation with the demographic study
and department requirements in order to maximize sales per square foot.
Coordinating budget (Class 3) creation with the design and construction team, followed by review with the client
for negotiation / approvals into the next step.
Supporting the design and construction team during the design drawing / construction process. Trouble shooting
and closing any gaps.
Reviewing tender results / requests for quote (RFQ) upon receipt with team and client for final approval.
Holding regular site meetings with clients, team and trades along the project process. Attending / presenting to
Board of Directors’ and/or Membership meetings.
Controlling project budget to ensure extra costs are managed via proper documentation / communication,
Budget Adjustment (BA), Contingency, Contract Change order (CCO) process forms. Regular job cost updates
with client and construction team. Weekly progress claims created and sent to client on time for payment.
