Geared toward Jews aged 21-30 with little or no background in Judaism and founded on an atmosphere of open
mindedness, Livnot offers soul-searching, physically invigorating, and emotionally elevating experiences in Israel. The

PUZZLE

One program, three meaningful experiences. Puzzle is a unique five-month program for college graduates built upon
three fundamental components of a complete Israel experience. While on Puzzle, participants experience Israel with
Israelis, volunteer for two months at MADA or on Marva, take a one-month hiking adventure along Israel’s National
Hiking Trail, and join the Israeli Academy for Leadership for a two-month learning program that fosters the development

TIKKUN OLAM IN TEL AVIV-JAFFA
Duration: 5 or 10 months

Tikkun Olam in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, a volunteer and study experience for Jewish English speakers aged 22-27, offers
participants both community service and coexistence program options. Those who choose the community service
track live in South Tel Aviv and work with new immigrants to Israel, foreign workers and refugees from Darfur
and elsewhere. Those who choose the coexistence track live in Jaffa and volunteer in organizations that promote
coexistence among Arabs and Jews. Participants in both tracks partake in intensive Hebrew study (ulpan) and trips
around Israel, and are welcomed into Bina and The Daniel Centers’ communities of young Israelis. For more information

WUJS JERUSALEM LEARNING

The WUJS Jerusalem Learning program is a deep and engaging Jewish studies experience. The Jerusalem Ulpan
(Hebrew language) program coupled with extensive courses in Judaism and Zionism are all conducted in a pluralist,
open minded that incorporates time in the classroom, weekly field trips, overnight hikes, meetings with Israeli peers,

16. WHAT IS MASA ISRAEL JOURNEY?
MASA is a unique organization that gives young Jewish adults, aged 18–30, the chance to build lasting
relationships with Israel, strengthen their Jewish identities and gain meaningful experiences through one of more
than 160 long-term Israel programs. In addition to a wide variety of program opportunities, MASA offers grants
and scholarships to help participants cover program fees. MASA also provides support, activities, workshops,
and resources to assist participants during their stay in Israel. Since 2004, MASA has been a catalyst
