To create a LinkedIn account, users must register by filling in required information and clicking "Join Now". LinkedIn will then send a confirmation email to verify the sign up email address. After clicking the confirmation link, the user can sign in to their new LinkedIn account by entering their email and password. Once signed in, users can invite friends by entering their email addresses and edit their profile information such as uploading a photo or checking their profile completeness percentages.
