15. You have already been introduced to varied literary pieces
from the Philippines and the world. In the previous lessons,
you see that there are a number of ways and a number of
possibilities to interpret and appreciate literature. In this new
lesson, you will further learn and be familiar with the varied
creative adaptations of literary texts.
16.
17. Are you familiar with the song above?
What classical story is shown in it? Can
you give textual evidences to prove that it
may be an interpretation or is based on
the said story?
18. The example above is an Audio presentation based
on a literary text. Audio is relating to the sound that
is heard on a recording or broadcast. It is important
because it can tell us about character, place, and
time. It also informs us and moves us in ways
visuals can’t, and because certain combinations of
sound and visuals can evoke what neither can do
alone and can determine what we see.
19. These are pictures produced by a camera,
artist, mirror. It is important in presenting
literary text through multimedia because
our brain can interpret images much
quicker than text. Additionally, images
give depth and context to a description or
story and provide a much more immersive
experience than writing alone. Examples
of this format are the Marvel stories
presented in a comic strip.
20.
21. Motion media use a series of drawings, computer graphics,
frames or photographs of objects that are slightly different from one
another and that when viewed quickly one after another create the
appearance of movement. These raw files are then processed using online or
offline video application to produce a content combining images, texts and
sound.
Using this form of media may then entice more to appreciate
literature and have better understanding of it. For instance, the movie
adaptation of the Harry Potter series has made millions of viewers
appreciate the novel series written by J.K. Rowling. The same is true with
varied children’s books now having video or animation presentations for
kids to better enjoy such stories.
22.
23.
24. In order to create and produce a creative presentation of a literary text using
any of the above multimedia examples, it is important to take note of the
following steps:
1. Read and understand the reading selection very well. Write down your insights
and reflections about it.
2. From your understanding of the text, you may draft a story board or a plan of
how you are to present the story through your chosen medium.
3. You may begin writing your script (for video), or words and lyrics (for audio).
4. Develop or create your raw files. You may start taking pictures, drawing images
5. Use ICT tools and applications to process your raw files and to produce your
multimedia output.
25. DIRECTION:
Get five (5) words from the ICT
ARTWORD image. Define each
word of your own and use them
in your own sentences.
26.
27. Activity 2
TEXT IN A PODCAST.
1. Groupings: 5 students in each group.
2.Select any of your favorite poem/ short story and create a
podcast script out of it. Your script may be: 1. A dialogue; 2.
Discussion; 3. Spoken Word Poetry; 4. Song about the theme or
topic discussed in the literary piece you have selected.
Note: Your outputs will be posted via page to be sent to you..
