Training needs to be relevant, engaging and dynamic to be effective. Trainers need to
develop the skills to design and deliver effective training and inspire and motivate their
delegates. This two day course will show you how to design engaging training sessions by
understanding how people learn. You will develop techniques for involving groups and
helping them to process and understand the course content.
Presentation skills - 2 days
Presenting is often perceived as the most daunting task at work. Being able to deliver a well-
researched, structured, confident presentation is a vital skill in every professional’s portfolio.
This course will provide the opportunity for you to enhance your current style and deliver
high quality presentations with maximum impact when faced with any presenting
opportunity, from staff meetings to public events.
Time Management - 1 day
We cannot control time. However, we can use the time we have more effectively to
accomplish results that make a difference. This course will help you to identify your key time
management issues and develop strategies to enable you to make the best use of the time
available.
HR for line managers - 2 days
Employment legislation can be very daunting for line managers. What can I ask at interview?
How do I deal with sickness absence? What do I do if someone has a grievance? This two-day
introduction to HR will help you gain the knowledge and skills to develop your confidence in
dealing with HR and employment law issues in the workplace through a series of practical
exercises and tools.
Successful appraisals -1 to 2 days
Successful managers know how to bring out the best in their staff. They create
opportunities, motivate, agree goals and develop skills that achieve maximum results. This

negotiating with colleagues and clients. This course will give you the opportunity to explore a
framework for positive negotiating.
Communicating Assertively at Work - 1 day
This course will help you to understand what assertiveness is and identify your own
strengths and development needs in terms of communicating assertively. You will be able
to recognise why you react rather than respond in certain situations and with particular
people. You will also acquire a range of skills enabling you to express yourself clearly,
confidently and positively to achieve successful outcomes
Recruitment and interviewing - 2 days
With increasingly high recruitment costs and staff turnover it’s important to attract and
select the right candidates first time. This highly practical course will take you through every
stage of the recruitment process, from deciding whether a vacancy exists to making the
appointment.
Interviewee skills - 1 day

present a positive image and build good relationships. This involves understanding others
and being understood. During this one day course you will build on your existing skills and
learn simple techniques to help create rapport and influence others to achieve positive
outcomes.

Up to 60% of the time spent in meetings is wasted. Reasons range from underprepared
participants and chairs to challenging behaviours, death by power point and lack of structure
and objectives. This one day course will teach you how to harness people’s energy, manage
participation, read and use non-verbal signals and ultimately improve the quality of your
decisions and actions.
Successful minutes - 1 day
As the minute taker you have a key role in ensuring meetings are productive. During this
course, your trainer will take you through a step-by-step approach to creating effective
minutes, using templates to help you produce structured agendas and take notes effectively.
Practical exercises will help you build confidence and put ideas into practice. Using a few
simple yet effective techniques, you can be in total control and have the confidence to know
that you’ve got everything covered.
Business Writing - 1 day
How often do you read an email or letter and make an impression of the writer – good or
bad? Producing professional, well written emails and letters are vital in achieving your
purpose and establishing your credibility. Using the right style and tone can make all the
difference. You will develop skills in planning, structure, grammar, spelling, punctuation and
proof-reading and receive feedback on your writing style.
PA and Executive Development - 1 to 2 days
This course is ideal for PAs, senior secretaries and administrators who are looking to develop
the managerial aspects of their role. You will have the opportunity to consider your strengths
and development needs and gain some new skills to enhance your performance.
