During the summer of 2009, Julie Mapes worked as an intern in the Art / Set
Decoration Department for a feature film entitled ‘SOMEWHERE,’ directed by Sofia
Coppola. With Julie’s quick study talent, she was able to jump into the hectic pre-
production mode with ease. She assisted the Production Designer, Art Director, Set
Decorator & Art Coordinator in set dress research, assemble design boards, art
department accounting and many other duties. Julie reported to work on time, always
donning a sincere smile and ready to help with anything needed. No job was too
small or too big for Julie’s great attitude.
