manners

 ONE SOULD BE HUMBLE
 THEY SHOULD BE WELL GROOMED
 PHYICALLY FIT
 ONE SHOULD BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH
 ATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY

PERSONAL HYGIENE
Personal hygiene, such as bathing, is very
much dependent on the culture in which you live. In
some cultures, it is expected that you will wash your
body at least every day and use deodorants to stop
body smells. Other cultures have different
expectations.
TIPS FOR PERSONAL HYGIENE
BODY ODOUR
 Wastes excreted through the skin, such as
metabolized alcohol.
 The actions of bacteria that live on the skin and feed
on dead skin cells and sweat.
 Unwashed clothes, such as underwear and socks.
HAND WASH
 Most infections, especially colds is caught when we put
our unwashed hands, which have germs on them, to our
mouth. Some infections are caught when other people’s
dirty hands touch the food we eat. Hands and wrists
should be washed with clean soap and water, using a
brush if your fingernails are dirty.
 Dry your hands with something clean, such as paper
towels or hot air dryers. You should always wash your
hands : After using the toilet
 Before making or eating food
 After handling dogs or other animals
 If you have been around someone
 who is coughing or has a cold.
BAD BREATH
 Good dental hygiene includes regular brushing and
flossing.
 Bad breath can be caused by diseases of the
teeth, gums and mouth, such as infections.
 Most people have bad breath first thing in the
morning because saliva is not made while you’re
asleep.
 Some foods that can cause bad breath include
garlic and onion. Mouth washes, mouth sprays and
flavored chewing gum can make your breath smell
better for a while, but if you have a health problem
in your mouth, you need to see your dentist.
Things to Remember
 Good personal hygiene is one of the most effective
ways to protect ourselves and others from many
illnesses, such as gastroenteritis.
 Wash your hands regularly, especially before
preparing or eating food and after going to the
toilet.
SKIN CARE
Types of skin : dry skin
: oily skin
: combination skin
: normal skin
MY SKIN TYPE
I have combination skin
HOW I MAINTAIN CONDITION
OF SKIN
COMBINATION SKIN : This type skin is neither dry nor
oily , it is generally a mixture of both. We notice more oil
on our fore head, nose, and chin area. The other parts
would be normal or dry and varies from person to person
TIPS FOR COMBINATION SKIN
CARE
1. Stop Soaps
Stop using soaps for your delicate facial skin.
Soaps dry up your skin and can also cause
irritations which further aggravate your skin
problems. Opt for a gentle cleanser which suits your
skin type or you can use a
natural cleanser like honey
2. Use A Toner
Toner is a must in everybody’s skin care
regimen especially for people who have
combination to oily skin. It balances your skin by
removing the last traces of your cleanser
3.Moisturize Often
Apply a light moisturizer which moisturizes the
dry areas and mattifies the oily areas on your face.
A gel-based moisturizer or a gel-cream moisturize.
.
4. Use A Sunscreen
Never skip the sunscreen. It acts as a protection for
your skin when you go out. Buy a sunscreen which is
meant for your skin type. Always check the product before
buying
5. Use A Cleanser
After coming home, always remove your makeup using
a gentle cleanser before sleeping. Do not let your makeup sit
on your skin for the whole night. Follow the CTM (Cleansing,
Toning and Moisturizing) procedure here.
6. Use A night cream
To get added benefits use a
night cream. It will repair and
moisturize your skin giving it a
glow in the morning as your skin
absorbs all the vitamins from
your night cream. It also works
as an anti-ageing tool too.
7. Exfoliation
Exfoliation is required to get rid of white heads, black
heads and dead skin cells, stimulates blood circulation
8. Homemade Face Packs
Use face packs and masks twice a week, a readymade
one is easy to use but, sometimes opt for a Home made DIY
pack or masks. Natural and fresh ingredients will boost
health of your skin. Home remedies for combination skin
sometimes gives better results that the ones in the market.
Check out our post on face packs for combination skin.
9. Don’t Touch Your Face
Do not touch your face as our hands carry a lot of
germs. Do not pick or squeeze your as it will enlarge the
size of open pores and oil glands will secrete more oil.
This results in more skin problems.
HOMEMADE FACE PACKS FOR SMOOTH AND
GLOWING SKIN

 Turmeric powder ( haldi)
 Fuller’s earth ( multani mitti)
 Sandalwood powder ( chandan)
 Rose water *(if dry skin add coconut oil)*

Apply it for 20 to 30 minutes and wash it with cold water
and after some time apply moisturizer(for best results
apply it for 30 days daily )
HOW I MAINTIAN CONDITION
OF HAIR
Before After
Types of Hair
1.Straight hair
 Type 1 is straight hair, which reflects the most
sheen and also resilient of all the hair types.
 Straight hair is very hard to damage, and also
difficult to curl. This is because the sebum in this
hair texture easily spreads from the scalp to ends
without curls or kinks, and is also the oiliest hair
type.
2. Wavy hair
Wavy hair has a texture and sheen between
straight and curly hair and is likely to become fizzy.
Fine wavy hair can be tamed and easily styled,
however, medium and coarse hair can be hard to
style.
3. Curly hair
Type 3 is curly hair, which, is known to have an
S-shape. The pattern of the hair resembles an ‘S’
shape and sometimes a ‘Z’ shape. This type of hair
is usually voluminous, climate dependent, and
damage prone. If your curly hair lacks proper care
you can cause less defined curls.
Kinky hair
Kinky hair features a tightly coiled curl pattern
is often very fragile with a high density. This type of
hair shrinks when wet because it has fewer cuticle
layers than other hair types and because of this, is
more susceptible to damage.
MY HAIR TYPE
I have wavy hair
Tip 1: Protect Your Hair
Always protect your hair from sun, wind and rain.
Exposure to excessive sun, heat, dirt, pollution, etc. adds
to our already existent hair woes. These can lead to dirt
build up, drying out of hair and scalp, increased
susceptibility to infections on the scalp. Cover your hair
with an umbrella or a hat.
Tip 2: Deal Carefully With Wet Hair
 Wet hair is very fragile and breaks easily. When
wet, the shaft and roots of your hair are more prone
to sustaining damage.
 Don’t be too harsh when shampooing. Breakage
begins there
 Avoid brushing immediately after a shower.
Tip 3: Regular Conditioning
Use a moisturizing conditioner after every wash. Never
walk out of a shower without it. Missing this step could be the
reason why your hair is frizzy.
Tip 4: Don’t Over Apply Heat On Hair
Avoid using heat on your hair. Heat further
strips the moisture content from your hair making it
dry and frizzy
Tip 5: Avoid Teasing Your Hair
Avoid teasing your hair; even if it creates a lot
of volume, it ruins the hair texture.
Homemade Pack For Healthy Hair
You Will Need
 1/4 cup aloe vera gel
 1/4 cup carrier oil
Method
 Combine the Aloe gel with a carrier oil of your choice.
 Apply the mixture to your scalp and through the length
of your hair.
 Leave it in for 20-30 minutes and then wash off with
shampoo and condition.
Benefits
Aloe Vera is one of the best ingredients for
moisturizing. In combination with a carrier oil, it forms a
protective layer over your cuticle that minimizes
moisture loss, giving you hair that is soft, smooth, and
shiny.

  • 25. Tip 3: Regular Conditioning Use a moisturizing conditioner after every wash. Never walk out of a shower without it. Missing this step could be the reason why your hair is frizzy.
  • 26. Tip 4: Don’t Over Apply Heat On Hair Avoid using heat on your hair. Heat further strips the moisture content from your hair making it dry and frizzy
  • 27. Tip 5: Avoid Teasing Your Hair Avoid teasing your hair; even if it creates a lot of volume, it ruins the hair texture.
