Kaiser Permanente, Northern California - Patient Care Services developed a Caritas in Action campaign to encourage caregivers to reflect authentic expressions of Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring ("Caring Science") in their daily practice and within their medical center.

The purpose of this Caritas in Action video story is to foster dialogue about how
we, individually and collectively, are integrating Caring Science into our daily
practice. We invite you to consider how this one PICC line nurse is informed and
inspired by Caring Science, and how his values and beliefs allow him to sustain a
caring-healing relationship with his Self and with his Patient.
