Select the age range of students in the project and the overall number of students involved Select all the subject areas that the project covers. From yours and your partner’s point of view Select the ICT tools that you will be using
Project aims – specifically what you are aiming the impact on your pupils to be. What skills they are going to enhance, what areas of the curriculum are going to be enriched by working in this way through the project How are you going to carry out your project? What are you going to do when? How are you going to collaborate and communicate together? What outputs and outcomes are you planning to create throughout and at the end of the project?
This is the Preview Screen. You can view and review all the information that you just entered in the Project Description Page. If you want to change any of the information at this point you can click on Change which takes you back a step, but if you’re happy just click Submit.

At this point you are told your project is created but it will remain pending until firstly your partner and then the National Support Services approve it. You can find your project now in the Pending tab of your Projects page.
You can view the current status of the project here. It will either be ‘waiting for partner approval’ or ‘waiting for NSS approval’. At this stage you can Delete the project or Edit the details
Your partner will have received a notification in their Desktop saying that the project has been registered and that you are waiting for them to accept the project. They will also be able to find it in the Pending tab of their Projects page and there they will have the option to Accept or Reject the project.
Once your partner has approved the project it get’s sent to the NSS in each country for each of them to verify and approve (to check the project is appropriate, well planned etc). This shouldn’t take more than 3 days.

Notes de l'éditeur

  1. Welcome. The aim of today’s webinar is to explain to you the process of registering a project on the eTwinning website.
  2. The webinar is going to be in four sections 1. Before you register – what you need to do in preparation for registering your project. 2. Getting your project approved - What happens when you submit your project. 3. Managing your project - what happens after your project is approved & how you can then go onto manage your project 4. Going forward – a quick look at some of your options once your project is up and running Each section will last approximately 10 to 15 minutes. We will stop for a 5 minute recap after each section during which you can ask any questions. I will put the microphone down at this stage so you can come in and say your question. Alternatively you can also use the chat box at any time during the webinar to ask questions. We will make sure that we answer all chat questions during the session recap There will be a final recap and chance for any last questions at the end of the webinar.
  3. Question 1
  4. Question 2
  5. Question 3
  6. The first screen you will come to is your list of contacts. Scroll up and down and select the one partner that you want to set up the project with. All eTwinning projects have to have at least one partner. You may have more than one partner school you are working with. If so, we will look at adding more partners to your project later on. At this stage you must only select one though.
  7. OK, we have now covered part 1 of what you need to do before you register your project and we are ready for the next step. We’ll take a break for five minutes now for questions. One minute pause Two minute moderator review 3 or 4 concept check questions
  8. Before we move onto the next section, here are 3 questions to answer. No you need to select a partner as part of the process Yes. You are asked about aims and expected outcomes Yes, you can go back and edit it at the preview stage
  9. No. After submitting, your partner needs to approve it. and also both NSS’s Maybe. Depends on their setting. You should also check your notifications on eTwinning No. NSS’s monitor new projects all the time & you do not need to contact them to let you know you have submitted a project. Although you can of course contact us if you are not sure on anything.
  10. Yes. Via the manage projects button on your Desktop. Depends whether they are administrator or member You have the option on the Desktop to close your project once it has finished
