Current Expected
Currently Keyano instructs 165 students per year in power engineering and
process operations co-op programs.
The new lab will increase our instructional capacity to 468 steam time blocks
per year.
6.
7. Classrooms have direct
visibility into the laboratories.
Steam turbine
generators, high pressure
boilers and turbine steam
condensers are aligned as in
an actual oils sands facility.
8. Locally trained graduates are more likely to stay, work and live in the
oilsands region.
The Oilsands Power & Process Engineering Laboratory will provide
our industry partners with access to skilled employees with a solid
understanding of oilsands operations - without the added costs of
outside recruitment.
