Evaluation - "What have you learnt from your audience feedback?"
1.
2. By looking at the results we can
see that we were able to
successfully appeal to our target
audience as 70% of our viewers
were very satisfied and 20% were
somewhat satisfied implying that
the different edits and effects
included in our music video were
able to capture the audiences
attention. Although due to one
person being neither satisfied nor
dissatisfied suggests that there is
still room for improvement within
our main production.
3. By looking at the results we can
also see that the use of creativity in
our music video such as the range
of locations and camera angles
made the video seem different and
cleverly planned out as 50% of the
viewers thought that it was very
unique and 30% suggested that it
was made to high quality, evidently
suggesting that our main production
was professional.
4. From R'n'B originally being a sad
and emotional genre we focused on
creating with theme within our story
line in order to follow conventions of
R'n'B genres. As you can see from
the results we have clearly
performed these themes correctly
as our target audience mostly felt
sad from watching our music video.
From this we made sure to produce
a interesting and unique story line
to allow us to grasp our target
audiences' attention. Which is
shown within question four.
5. From question 5 we can clearly see
that there is room for improvement
as the majority voted the production
of the music video as average. I
believe that the reason for this is
because two of the scenes were
not filmed to the best quality they
could be, as it was our first time
producing a music video.
6. As question 6 shows all of the
responses were teenagers this clearly
shows that we successfully targeted our
audience as they were able to clearly
specify who the music video was
targeted to. This would due to young
people playing the characters and also
the clothes that the characters were
wearing during the music video as the
targeted audience would be to relate to
the characters within the music video.
Also the target audience could identity
the genre correctly as 90% of the
respondents stated that the genre is
R'n'B. However, that one person felt that
the music video was in the genre of Rap
therefore, suggesting that more
conventions could have been followed
in order to meet audiences
expectations.
