ELECTRO MOBILITY TRAINER and SERVICE SUPPORT

E-BUS COMPETENCE CENTRE
Volvo Group is striving to become the world leader within sustainable transport. Volvo Bus
Corporation works with cities around the globe with the aim of improving quality of life by
implementing efficient, clean and silent public transport systems.
The E-Bus Competence Centre in Luxemburg is a new initiative from Volvo Bus Corporation
hosted and supported by Volvo’s official Truck and Bus dealer CPPL in Livange, Luxemburg.
The new team will focus on developing and establishing complete solutions for cities,
leveraging fuel efficient and environmentally sustainable passenger transports in combination
with efficient planning of traffic. The E-Bus Competence Centre in Luxemburg will support the
different European markets with key city mobility competence throughout the business
development, sales and project execution phases.
The E-Bus Competence Centre will work closely together with both public as well as private
stakeholders, i.e. universities, ministries and public transport operators.
JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a highly motivated: ELECTRO MOBILITY TRAINER & SERVICE SUPPORT M/F
Electromobility has come to the bus public transport business which means that our buses are
becoming more electric and public transport even more modular. This has resulted in new
opportunities but also new challenges. In order to take advantage of these opportunities and tackle the
new challenges, these buses are embedded with advanced systems which allow us to maintain,
repair, monitor and control them in very new ways. This gives us the possibility to deliver new services
and business solutions, resulting in improved business processes and increased productivity to our
customers; namely bus operators, public transport operators, authorities and dealers.

The Electro Mobility Trainer & Service Support main task is to train technical trainers, key
technicians/mechanics and drivers in the field of electro mobility in Luxemburg, Belgium and France.
Next to this it is important to support the running fleet with specific Electromobility after sales service
follow-up and support in order to secure customer satisfaction and vehicle availability. Depending on
the demand, the person will also support other countries in Europe. For the Trainer part, the focus will
be on how to maintain, fault trace and repair our new electro mobility products in a safe and efficient
way. The trainer will receive training and training support material. Next to this he or she will will also
identify opportunities to develop new training material and communicate this with Volvo Bus
Corporation Global Service Training department.
MAIN TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES / AUTHORITIES
Train technical trainers, key mechanics, drivers, technicians and depot personnel in electro
mobility buses
Giving input to Volvo Bus’ Global Service Training department with regard to new training
input for continuous improvement
Translate training material to local languages
Create a good and trustworthy relation with the dealers and the customers
Develop the local training set up in the Learning Management System
Take an economical responsibility for the training set up
Support the customers and dealers with after sales support for the electromobility bus fleet
Work closely together with the Belgium Field Service Engineer and Volvo Bus Headquarter
and Factories
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor or Master degree in (automotive) Engineering or equivalent
Knowledge and competence through studies, hobbies and/or work experience in/with:
o Electrical vehicles
o Fault tracing
o Automotive technology
Good language skills: English, German and French is essential, local language is a merit
Pedagogical skills
A structured approach towards competence planning and assessment work
A professional approach and good co-operation skills
Cost and target oriented personality, with a proactive approach
Able to work in an environment with cross-functional responsibilities
Visionary, has an open mind and can come up with unconventional ideas and solutions
Strong competence in building collaborations with parties outside the immediate span
Excellent capability to understand customer, dealer and other stakeholder needs
Problem solving and decision making skills
Excellent communications and presentation skills
Good knowledge of national and local cultures
Prepared to travel
