Project & Portfolio I: Week 1

2. My name is Logan Peter and I am from a very small town in New
Jersey called Lumberton. Living thirty minutes from Philadelphia, I
grew up a massive sports fan and a massive Philadelphia sports
fan. My dad is who instilled these teams into me and I have always
stuck with them through the good and the bad. And even though the
bads outweigh the goods by a landslide, I wouldn’t change my
upbringing and who I am for anything. My core values are to be
kind, respected among everyone, not just my peers, and to be
caring. My parents brought me up better than anybody else could
and they have made me into the person I am today, I would not be
anywhere in life without them and their constant guidance. The two
biggest things that I have tried to take from what my parents have
taught me are situational awareness and treating people the way
you want to be treated. Those two things have always been my life’s
biggest rules. I want to become a play by play announcer for a
professional sports team, that is my goal and that will continue to be
my end goal until it is finally reached.

4. Anyone that has anything to do with sports is
who I want to know who I am. Anybody at huge
companies like ESPN, Barstool Sports, Fox
Sports, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, the list goes
on. Anybody that would allow me to get my foot
in the door is someone that I would try to get in
touch with. This industry is all about getting a
chance, and those chances are sometimes hard
to come by. But if you are constantly working
and constantly making yourself better
somebody will take notice. Ted Kenney would
be one person thatI would love to be able to
make an impression on who id=s the director of
operations at Fox Sports. My target audience
would be anybody that is sports crazy, the great
thing about sports is all different types of people,
married or single, young or old, male or female,
everybody that has a passion for sports comes
from a different background. 3 people that I
want to make an immediate impact on as soon
as possible are Dan Patrick, Ted Kenney, and
Brittnay Kelley.

Short Term: (Immediately After Graduation)
Get an internship or entry level job sportscasting
whether it be behind the camera or in front anywhere in
the world.
Mid Term: (5-10 Years)
To be established with a company or team doing play
by play for them on a nightly basis, anywhere in the
world.
Long Term: (15-20 Years)
Return home to Philadelphia and have the same role for
one of my childhood teams.

Digital Marketing
The primary type of content I am going to produce is
based on podcasts. I want to be able to have multiple
podcasts on multiple different topics, whether it be a
certain sport or a certain person or event. The two
primary social media tools I will use are Twitter and
Instagram. I will do the best of my ability to constantly
be on top of promoting my work on all platforms and
making sure my digital profile stays up to date and
respected among my peers and respected individuals
in the field of work I am pursuing.

I need to develop things like my vocabulary,
my public speaking skills, and to start being
as detailed as possible in anything that I do. I
will enhance these skills by constantly
reminding myself what I need to do in all of
my work in future classes along with trying to
enhance my knowledge by reading more,
and paying closer attention to people when
they speak. I will attempt to complete these
tasks as quickly as possible in order to
showcase them in my work and to my future
employers.
