Recruiter’s Event Checklist
Before ☐ Fill out Volunteer Form online & Return to Alice
☐ If you are in the US, fill out form W-9 online
☐ If you are in another country, fill out form W-8 online
☐ Watch the entire training video
☐ Schedule a chat with an Enrollment Manager
During ☐ Save all Receipts & Record Mileage
☐ Never answer a question you’re not 100% sure of
☐ Follow the ‘Tips’ on engaging students
After
☐ Fill out a Trip Report online
☐ Submit contact details from cards
☐ Scan and send receipts to alice.villemaire@miis (or)

The Graduate School of International Policy and Management addresses global challenges while integrating language and providing opportunities for immersive learning experiences. 45% of the student body is international. Students in the the Graduate School of Translation, Interpretation and Language Education (GSTILE) programs often have opportunities to participate in high-profile language assignments as a result of their world-renowned language training. Master’s degree programs include: Translation & Interpretation Translation and Localization Management Teaching Foreign Language Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages   Additional slides at the end of the presentation offer suggestions on how to tell students about the Master’s degree programs.

  9. MIIS accepts applications on a rolling basis for the fall and spring semester.   Our priority scholarship deadlines for fall are December 1, February 1 and March 1. The spring priority scholarship deadline is October 1.

Your event will be a great opportunity for you to speak about some of your own personal experiences with language, immersive learning, the MIIS community and your time in Monterey. There are several aspects that set MIIS apart from other institutions.
  11. Immersive Learning opportunities support students in efforts to gain professional experience around the world in management, policy, development, education and more. Examples of these programs include: Frontier Market Scouts, Design Partnering Management & Innovation, International Professional Service Semester, Middlebury Schools Abroad, Student Exchange Programs and Semester Term Practica.
  12. Language and intercultural communication are central to all degree programs at the Middlebusy Institute. All students are required to take language courses. These courses enhance language skill and integrate language learning into the degree programs. The main languages on campus include Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Korean French, Spanish, Japanese, English, Portuguese and German.
