Before I started the MCBS program, I was always known
as the “go-to for gadgets” or “tech-it” girl.
At one point, I
even worked
for
GATEWAY

computers

conducting
technical
support for
users
I always thought I wanted to be a teacher,
but it was my 7th grade teacher who sort of
de-motivated me from becoming one.

You don’t want to
teach kids…
Unless, you want to
go crazy!
ummm…
NOT COOL
Because of that, I moved on to developing an interest in
psychology as I’m always fascinated by people’s behavior
and what makes them do the things they do.
Unfortunately, the psychology
route was not looking too good
as I came to realize that I didn’t
want to be in school for 8+ years
to get a Ph.D.
I’m too
OLD
for that!
Therefore, I took a more familiar
approach by embarking on a
technology related degree
while working full-time at small
businesses.
This is where I decided to
demonstrate my technical
skills in media
communications for projects
like mass e-mailings,
newsletters, press releases,
articles, seminar marketing
materials, announcements,
social media, website
maintenance, etc.
I’ve experienced working in different office settings ranging
from an underwriting insurance company; to an aerospace
cable distributing company; to now an investment advisory
firm where I have been given flexibility to utilize my technical
skills in communications.
I now realize that I
am supposed to go
“full-force” with

EXPANDING
my knowledge
related to media
communications
CREATING
media and becoming a professional media
communicator is my true passion
CREATING
Is what I’m meant to do
I looked into many different schools that offered
Communications programs which all caught my
attention…
AT FIRST

Let’s name a few…

Connecticut School of Broadcasting
New England Tech Institution
Central Connecticut State University
University of Phoenix
Johnson & Wales University
But when I researched the schools in more depth, they seemed to
be missing the ESSENTIAL QUALITIES
I was looking for in a degree program
Until finally,
I stumbled across
FULL SAIL
UNIVERSITY
Learning of what Full Sail’s MCBS
program offers had me lit up like a kid in a
candy store!
Even though I
work full-time, I felt
going to school
full-time wouldn’t
seem like
WORK
And so far, it really hasn’t!
