    Seattle, WA.

   Over 75% of adult wake time is spent doing
    work-related activities

   People ought to enjoy work and be energized
    by it.

                  about finding
  the deep source of energy, creativity, and
                     passion
  that exists inside each of us by learning to
                   love what
   we do, even if at the moment we may not
                    be doing
              exactly what we love.

  1. Start with the VCD on Pike Place Market
  2. John Glenn - In 1959, NASA selected him as one of the first seven astronauts in the U.S. space program. On February 20, 1962, atop an Atlas rocket, he rode into space and piloted the Friendship 7 spacecraft around the globe three times, becoming the first American to orbit the earth. John Glenn, the pilot and hero, soon found NASA's plans for him did not include another flight assignment. While he continued to serve as an advisor to NASA until 1964, his interests increasingly turned to public affairs. Encouraged by Bobby Kennedy to seek public office, Glenn retired from the Marine Corps as a colonel the following year to run for the United States Senate. Astronaut Glenn now became Senator Glenn.
  3. Trainers: Read “Flinging Fish for Profit” for your reference. This will give you a brief story of the Pike Place Fish Market.
  4. Suggest ways in which TechM can implement “Play” at work.
  5. Trainer’s note – Divide participants into groups of 4/5 and ask them to do role plays on “Choosing your attitude”.
  6. Trainer note: Read out the 2 caselets “Small Bites – be there” in class Talk about the difference between the 2 caselets. All participants now sit in a circle and share moments they displayed that they can “Be there” for someone at work or at home.
  7. Trainer note: give the case study “Driven to Serve Others” to participants in groups of 4/5. Let them read the caselet. Let them answer the question - Think of ways in which you can make your customer’s day – internal and external.
