2. Nazca Pictures Communication (NPC), was founded in 2004 by Patrizia Benedetti and Patricio Estay. It is an integrated communications agency
which makes use of an international network of photographers, directors, journalists, graphic designers and musicians.
NPC has established itself in the international market thanks to an organisation that it is unique in its kind – young and talented staff, an
accurate editorial line and excellent level of quality in just a few years has meant that NPC is recognised and appreciated in the field of fine art
photography and has placed it amongst the top Italian photo-journalistic agencies. This success is due to a willingness to revitalise the traditional
perspective of fact-finding reportage with a more contemporary approach to photo-journalism.
The reports are aimed at the worldwide press and deal with social, political and cultural topics as well as science and technology, travel and
fashion.This means a wide range of methods is used, from advertising, institutional and company communications to publishing, archives and on-
line conference.
The range of our products includes books, brochures, specific photographic reportage for companies, portraits, web sites, HD films.
In just a few years NPC has rapidly widened out its activities into multi-media, publishing and exhibition sectors.
In 2007 Nazca Exhibition and Nazca Edition were founded. Nazca Exhibition is aimed at creating photographic exhibitions in the most important
exhibition areas in Italy and abroad working together with public and private institutions. It deals with the entire realization of the project –
NA ZC A PI C T U RES CO M M U N I C ATI O N setting it up, finding sponsors, press office, catalogues and films. Nazca Edition deals with making fine art photography books and catalogues which
are distributed by the most important publishing companies including Skira, Thames & Hudson and Electa Mondadori.
With the idea of establishing NPC as the only agency able to autonomously make various types of top quality multi-media products, Patricio
Estay founded Nazca Vision. This branch deals with the production of documentaries in HD for the main international television broadcasters and
podcast for the press, companies and institutions. The products are made entirely by the agency, from the script, the 3D graphic motion and
editing right up to the soundtrack, all under a single artistic direction that guarantees harmonious and original editorial content at a competitive
market price.

3. Patrizia Benedetti
Managing Director
Patrizia Benedetti was born in 1964. In 1984 she began to work as as a manager and in consultancy
for top companies in the Italian and foreign fashion industry. In almost twenty years of practice
she has lived in Hong Kong, Toronto and Paris. She founded Nazca Pictures Communication in 2004,
of which she is C.E.O.
Patricio Estay
Editor in Chief
Patricio Estay, French Chilean photographer, movie director and composer was born in 1953. After
completing his degree in ethnomusicology, he embarked on a career in photojournalism. His first
NA ZC A PI C T U RES CO M M U N I C ATI O N professional reportage was about the military coup d’état in Santiago, Chile in 1973. In 1981, he
moved to France where he started a new life and a prolific career in photography, publication
and exhibitions. Since 2003 Estay has been living in both Paris and Florence where he founded the
Nazca Pictures Communication agency. In 2009 he founded Nazca Vision, a new HD film production
unit to expand the documentary sector.
