8. Global Understanding – pertains to the
unity made by different countries to
promote the rights and welfare of various
citizens around the world.

9. United Nations (UN) – is an
intergovernmental organization aiming to
maintain international peace and security,
develop friendly relations among nations,
achieve international cooperation, and be a
center for harmonizing the actions of nations.
It is the world's largest and most familiar
international organization.

11. United Nations vision statement is “to
reduce and eliminate extreme poverty, to
ensure sustainability of economic and
social development, to strengthen human
dignity and rights and to prevent violent
conflicts.” This vision statement has the
following parts:
• Eradicate poverty and promote the
development
• Uphold human rights

12. United Nations Institute for Children’s
Education Fund (UNICEF)
- is a United Nations agency
responsible for providing humanitarian
and developmental aid to children
worldwide.

13. United Nations Development Program
(UNDP)
- is a United Nations organization
tasked with helping countries eliminate
poverty and achieve sustainable economic
growth and human development.

14. World Health Organization (WHO)
- is a specialized agency of the
United Nations responsible for
international public health. The WHO
Constitution states its main objective as
"the attainment by all peoples of the
highest possible level of health"

15. Amnesty International
– advocates protection and promotion
of human rights.
Green Peace
– promotes environmental protection
and conservation.
