Message from the President
I want to congratulate the entire Navigon family on a great first six months of 2010! As an
agency, we finished mid-year at 104% of our objective. That objective was an increase of
$500,000 over prior year by Penn Mutual, so all of you are to be congratulated on a great
team effort!
From an individual standpoint, many of you are ahead of prior year and ahead of your own
personal goals; I want to congratulate each one of you in regard to your performance year-to-
date!!
For others of you, it's time to sit back and assess how to approach the final six months of the
year to get back on time.
In golf the third round is considered "moving day". It's when players make their move to get
into contention to win the tournament. In our business the third quarter is really the "moving
quarter". It's the time that you can make your move to position yourself to reach and obtain
your own personal goals and objectives.
As we enter the third quarter, good luck to each of you on making that move to reach and
obtain your personal goals and objectives and continuing to provide the services and
products for your clients that they need.
Again congratulations to everyone on a job well done through the end of June.
Sincerely,
Graham “It's the time that you can make your move to position
yourself to reach and obtain your own personal goals
and objectives.”

“The Leader’s Conference was a wonderful mix of business
and pleasure. The conference was a superb way to
recharge yourself both personally and professionally.
Along with information sessions and networking with
colleagues, there was plenty of time for fun and relaxation.
All of the details of the conference were organized so you
could enjoy every aspect worry free. If you haven’t had the
opportunity to experience a Leader’s Conference, I
encourage you to work toward the goal of attending. Work
hard so you can see Mickey next year.”

Just a few thoughts to reiterate the importance of making club. Beside the obvious – if you’ve
qualified for club you’ve made some good money - there are so many other attributes to
mention. The first of which is camaraderie with other agents. Some of my closest contacts in
the business are other agents whom I have seen year after year at club, for the last 25 years.
You get to know them and their families and share time and commonalities. You realize that
your struggles and successes are theirs as well. Secondly is education. The breakout
sessions daily are filled with useful ideas and information that you can actually apply to your
business when you return home. These sessions are hosted by the “best” in our company and
the industry. Another great thing about PMLA is the trip itself. The locations and the hospitality
are unbelievable. The dinners and parties are top notch, and the staff does a great job with
organizing the events. If you love golf – let’s see…last year, Trump National. A couple of years
ago, Kauai Lagoons! Need I say more? Lastly and most importantly, you get the opportunity to
meet and really get to know the top management of Penn Mutual and HTK. You quickly realize
the quality of people they are, from Bob Chappell and Michelle Barry on down. They do truly
care about you and your success, and are committed to you as an agent and as a person.
Attending these conferences and meetings, you do feel that you are part of a special company
that is unique in our industry.
So, I urge you to work hard and qualify for PMLA this year. Once you do, I doubt you will miss
another one in the future!
Happy Selling! Martin Hardy
