An article about children creativity I once wrote.

1. -Is there an optimal Way to develop Creativity in Children?
One may start and say: “children are philosophers” or “children are artist”, “pure
genius!” -and find very few people to start a long, deep conversation with. But
you know, any kid would surely take a deep breath and start arguing about the
topic. Anyway there is not an exceptional way to develop children’s creativity.
And no one like them to feel and live novelty, as for children almost every thing
is new, even to breath could be an amazing reason to learn, discover or play. All
a child needs to reach the goal of the most pure human intelligence, is freedom
and confidence. Children don’t really know the extent of their imagination, their
memory management or the power of their conscious. As their sense of space
and passing time increases, the perfect input at the right moment could result
in an answer of creativity and an accuracy of their visions as well as they find
more precise ways to success in contact with reality. In a little word of colorful
media, absent, busy parents and stimulant, capricious lifestyles, an adequate
orientation must be at the ground of any process of children development when
treating with children questions, inquiries or apparent absences to free their
creativity.
We just let you some humble suggestions to foster your kids’ creativity.
1.- As it’s been said, “by nature all men want to know.” In the case human
beings, a kid is the most perfectly living attest of this deep truth. Believe it or
not children’s brain learns 24 hours a day, and we can hardly imagine the half
of the ways it does it. Even when you think they are doing nothing they arein
fact filling their souls with light. Their senses are the main gate for them to pull
it off, even a never prepared dish o a new shared task can make the difference
to turn a simple moment in an exciting learning creative moment. So try always
to imagine how to lead interaction with your children into new sensitive
experiences. And anyway don’t take your own escort too serious; let them lead
their own process and their games.
2.- As arts have one of the most powerful vitalizing and didactic effect. Make
your children get familiar with perfect pieces of work of all kinds. Let arts in
children hands. Once they have understood that’s a whole word of “non useful
objects”, but “delightful objects”, if you provide with materials and tools, they
shall start to create, they will dance the music, get into the story and change it
and play the main character in the scenes of life.
3.- Use technology to access to the word of arts and share it with your children.
Not only films and music, but mainly classical music, buildings, cultures,
paintings, pictures, concerts and of course literature to increase their
imagination

2. relevance, as it describes learning models based on independent social
interaction, far-from-screens games and mostly unscheduled activities which
help children to balance their feelings and regulate emotions, to solve
spontaneous problematic physical and social situations, they know their own
better and communicate efficiently. In an overwhelmed word of prosperous
activities and silence, to let them free spaces seems to be critical for
inspiration.
5.- Don’t get “monothematic”. Use always different formulas to refer to a theme
on which you have to insist. Provide them with free time, big spaces to play and
flexible schedules. Remember your children isn´t habituated to get stuck in one
single thing; their mind is free and volatile. Make this feature work on children
creativity´s behalf, focus their chancy attention and also to enjoy yourself.
6.- Balance feed and contact with nature. Teach children appreciate the value
of fruits as a mayor snack, because proper nourishing stuff should increase
develop immune system and brain’s health. Also lead them into nature to
increase their confidence and balance their mind throughout the whole
spectrum of bliss and amazement that contemplation of nature brings.
7.- Keep fluent joyful harmonic talks every moment. Ask for interesting things
to your children, make use of different outstanding ways of expression. Any
exceptional use in language as you talk should include comparisons,
metaphors, rimes or even exaggerations. Encourage them to share opinions,
projects, memories, fantasies or any stimulant conversation subject even if it is
not logically linked one to another, for children have a powerful sense to
discover analogies. Talk with them without affected sweetness, honestly trying
to satisfy their fresh curiosity and in the most personal way.
8.- And maybe the most important to your child: don’t try to evaluate nor to
judge on a good-bad scale children’s play, their only constraint is happiness
and freedom in the way of doing things. So take into account that exercise
creativity with your children instead of trying to foster it in them could be a big
advantage for both as what really matters is the quality satisfying process and
deep love, not any optimal result.
Remember that all these is on the base of authenticity and spontaneity,
children clearly appreciate to be taken seriously, their questions and concerns
deserve our most tender humor and healthy consideration keep real and try to
sincerely enjoy activities you get involved with, they are just like us, just less
experienced.
