HEUTAGOGY
The study of self-determined learning and applies a
holistic approach to developing learner capabilities
with the learning serving as the major agent in
their own learning, which occurs, as a result of
personal experience

Paragogy (Peeragogy)
Peer learning is an educational
practice in which students interact
with other students to attain
educational goals.
Peeragogy :
• an open learning environment and a
new way of seeing and collaborating
and learning
• often unstructured in practice, and
learning is collaborative, not just
cooperative or contributory.
• Increased accessibility to online
networks, enable the development of
collaborative learning which in turn
builds skills and competencies needed in
a learning community.
Peer learning and peer
production are probably as old as
humanity itself, but they take on
new importance in the digital age
(Rheingold, 2014)
What peeragogy has to offer?
1. Changing context as a decentered
center.
2. Meta-learning as a font of knowledge.
3. Peers provide feedback that wouldn’t be
there otherwise.
4. Learning is distributed and non-linear.
Cybergogy :
A descriptive label for the strategies for
creating engaged learning online
(Wang & Kang,2006).
Cybergogy :
Creating learner-centred, autonomous and
collaborative virtual learning environment.
Cybergogy :
Learner’s thinking, behaviour, and emotion
are deeply connected to the culture of
computers, technology, and the Internet.

  • 4. HEUTAGOGY The study of self-determined learning and applies a holistic approach to developing learner capabilities with the learning serving as the major agent in their own learning, which occurs, as a result of personal experience (Stewart Hase & Chris Kenyon, 2007)

  • 7. Paragogy (Peeragogy) Peer learning is an educational practice in which students interact with other students to attain educational goals.
  • 8. Peeragogy : • an open learning environment and a new way of seeing and collaborating and learning • often unstructured in practice, and learning is collaborative, not just cooperative or contributory. • Increased accessibility to online networks, enable the development of collaborative learning which in turn builds skills and competencies needed in a learning community.
  • 9. Peer learning and peer production are probably as old as humanity itself, but they take on new importance in the digital age (Rheingold, 2014)
  • 10. What peeragogy has to offer? 1. Changing context as a decentered center. 2. Meta-learning as a font of knowledge. 3. Peers provide feedback that wouldn’t be there otherwise. 4. Learning is distributed and non-linear.
  • 11. Cybergogy : A descriptive label for the strategies for creating engaged learning online (Wang & Kang,2006).
  • 12. Cybergogy : Creating learner-centred, autonomous and collaborative virtual learning environment.
  • 13. Cybergogy : Learner’s thinking, behaviour, and emotion are deeply connected to the culture of computers, technology, and the Internet. (Wang & Kang, 2006)
