day(around 1.6 million).

Circles Share right things with right people
• Powerful way to maximize social media network
• Helps in growing audience and discover high value connections.
• Circles relates to connections in real world where not every connection
is “friend” or “family”. Google plus helps in organizing then into
different circles.
More about Circles
• Sorting through all the posts from
everyone you are following is not
required.
• With circle one can filter who’s posts
they see, when they want to see them.
• Circle management means, a control
on our browsing experience with
preference.
• Sharing with a Circle gives
connected contacts an email
notification by default.
Google Plus Post
• Post Title: Needs to be catchy and optimized
as it is similar to titles published on websites
• Post Title optimization : Including
keyword that is natural and doesn't not interrupt
title flow.
• Mentioning other users : Encouraging
engagement on individuals own posts
by mentioning other users who would either find
the content valuable, and or be able to provide
additional context to the share.
• Call to action
• Share post across other social media
channels : Get the URL of your Google+
post, select “Link to post.” It helps in raising
awareness for the content you published on
Google+ and assist in migrating followers
from your other social networks
• +1 button is used to
show that you like

Google Plus Post
Google + Hangout
• The Google+ Hangouts is no longer supported.
• Existing apps continued to run until April 25th, 2017.
• Why is no longer supported : At Google Horizon event in
September 2016, Google previewed a new experience for
Hangouts focused on meetings. In order to streamline those
efforts further, they planned to no longer take it forward.
• This was originally created to support social features for
consumer users as part of Google+, whereas Hangouts is now
turning to focus on enterprise use cases.
Google + Collections
• A useful feature that allows
for sub categorization of
groups of posts so that
any posts can be more
easily found in the future.
• It would create an interest
based stream that is
topically driven and doesn’t
require users to know which
individuals are prominent in
those fields.
New Features Rolled Out
• Google+ is still very popular among the
photographers with a number of photography
communities who use this platform regularly.
• Google+ introduced collections feature in 2015
specifically to group posts according to the specific
category which can be shared among the specific
audience.
• Images are a huge part of collections now & Google
is already working on Google Photos platform.
For user engagement Google has come up with new features in 2017

2.Filtering Comments
• Google is now filtering out low-
quality comments & spam just like
other social media channels to have a
meaningful conversation on Google+.
• Google+ has been a target of
spammers since it’s foundation due to
its connection with Google search.
• Some SEO’s are constantly spamming
the platform with irrelevant links to
manipulate rankings.
3.New Web Version
• Google+ has made a transition in 2017 from classic Google+ with its brand
new user interface launched on January 24,2017.
4. Google+ Events
• Google+ has reintroduced the Event feature which it had expressed disapproval of
back in 2015
• Not available for G Suite.

• Optimized Pages : Google+ pages are treated like page on
the internet by Google. It will gain a fair page rank (if
optimized) and will become indexed to appear in Google
search results.
• Optimized Content : Google+ each post can be found in a
Google search and it will consistently rank in Google.
• Desired Search Result : Search results based on
• SEO + Social Media (Experience ) : Creating web
authority and backlinks for the website.
• Hash tags : Minimum hash tags to be used 1-2 for a

Why consider Google +
• No study done on Google + since 2014.
• But back in 2014, it was the 2nd most engaging traffic, losing
out on Youtube.
• Google+ posts are treated by Google as their own web pages,
one can rank a blog post alongside Google+ posts, essentially dominating the first page of
Google.
• Google+ hash tags :
a) Google + uses hash tags in an entirely unique way. Google uses semantic analysis to
determine phrases related to a hash tag and makes post visible to a much wider audience.
b) Google+ has supercharged hash tags that act like keywords.
• Individual posts act as webpages in Google Search’s eyes and it can also be used to send
Google (email) notifications to the ones in network.
• If someone is added on Google+ and they search for something on Google that one has posted
about on Google+, that post will automatically rank above every other website.
• For those that built up a strong list of Google+ contacts would have an easy time building
Google+ traffic.
Why Google + is not used much
• Google was trying to be a better Facebook.
• Google+ Has Complex Design And
Nomenclature
• What exactly is “a circle?”
• Unlike on Facebook where you can simply “Add as
a friend” Google+ made it complicated for users
when having to decide who they wanted in their
circles. Unlike in Facebook groups where users
have access to all the group members, circles are
the exact opposite; nobody knows which groups
they are in. This is referred to as “asymmetric
sharing” where you share one-way with people,
however they don’t have to share back.

Google+ • A social media where like minded people can share and generate content. • Very popular among business community. • Reasons for its popularity: a) Integration with other Google products. b) Smooth navigation between Google products. c) Engagement that it creates. d) User control • According to Google a vast number of Google+ users are still signing up every day(around 1.6 million). Circles Share right things with right people • Powerful way to maximize social media network • Helps in growing audience and discover high value connections. • Circles relates to connections in real world where not every connection is “friend” or “family”. Google plus helps in organizing then into different circles.

More about Circles • Sorting through all the posts from everyone you are following is not required. • With circle one can filter who’s posts they see, when they want to see them. • Circle management means, a control on our browsing experience with preference. • Sharing with a Circle gives connected contacts an email notification by default.

Google Plus Post • Post Title: Needs to be catchy and optimized as it is similar to titles published on websites • Post Title optimization : Including keyword that is natural and doesn't not interrupt title flow. • Mentioning other users : Encouraging engagement on individuals own posts by mentioning other users who would either find the content valuable, and or be able to provide additional context to the share. • Call to action • Share post across other social media channels : Get the URL of your Google+ post, select “Link to post.” It helps in raising awareness for the content you published on Google+ and assist in migrating followers from your other social networks

Google + Hangout • The Google+ Hangouts is no longer supported. • Existing apps continued to run until April 25th, 2017. • Why is no longer supported : At Google Horizon event in September 2016, Google previewed a new experience for Hangouts focused on meetings. In order to streamline those efforts further, they planned to no longer take it forward. • This was originally created to support social features for consumer users as part of Google+, whereas Hangouts is now turning to focus on enterprise use cases.

Google + Collections • A useful feature that allows for sub categorization of groups of posts so that any posts can be more easily found in the future. • It would create an interest based stream that is topically driven and doesn’t require users to know which individuals are prominent in those fields.
  • 13. • Google+ is still very popular among the photographers with a number of photography communities who use this platform regularly. • Google+ introduced collections feature in 2015 specifically to group posts according to the specific category which can be shared among the specific audience. • Images are a huge part of collections now & Google is already working on Google Photos platform. Why consider Google + • No study done on Google + since 2014. • But back in 2014, it was the 2nd most engaging traffic, losing out on Youtube. • Google+ posts are treated by Google as their own web pages, one can rank a blog post alongside Google+ posts, essentially dominating the first page of Google. • Google+ hash tags : a) Google + uses hash tags in an entirely unique way. Google uses semantic analysis to determine phrases related to a hash tag and makes post visible to a much wider audience. b) Google+ has supercharged hash tags that act like keywords. • Individual posts act as webpages in Google Search’s eyes and it can also be used to send Google (email) notifications to the ones in network. • If someone is added on Google+ and they search for something on Google that one has posted about on Google+, that post will automatically rank above every other website. • For those that built up a strong list of Google+ contacts would have an easy time building Google+ traffic.

Why Google + is not used much • Google was trying to be a better Facebook. • Google+ Has Complex Design And Nomenclature • What exactly is “a circle?” • Unlike on Facebook where you can simply “Add as a friend” Google+ made it complicated for users when having to decide who they wanted in their circles. Unlike in Facebook groups where users have access to all the group members, circles are the exact opposite; nobody knows which groups they are in. This is referred to as “asymmetric sharing” where you share one-way with people, however they don’t have to share back.
