2. The New SMSR gearbox is SRN’s new range of
shaft mounted speed reducers. In general the
gearbox is designed to be mounted directly on
machine shaft of the application and restrained
by the use of a torque arm or flange; thus
eliminating the need for a coupling or chain
drive. Along with the ratios available a wide
selection of output speeds are achievable with
the use of belt drive to the input shaft. This new
generation of gearbox is available in 11 case
sizes achieving a maximum output torque of
18KNm.

torque arm fixing.

gear geometry.
 Improved case designs for smaller size and
lower weight to output torque ratios.
 The product can be used in high axial load
application such as screw conveyors with the

 Backstops can be retrofitted to all sizes easily.
