2. MISSION AND VISION
Persistence Data Mining serves the agricultural
industry by advancing precision soil nutrient mapping
technology to support proactive and efficient fertilizer
use.
Our vision is to support fertilizer
efficiency to help farmers increase
crop yields, optimize input costs,
and protect the environment.
3. GLOBAL PROBLEM
We live on a planet of 7 billion people that is projected
to have more than 2 billion more mouths to feed by
2050.
Growers today need access to real-time information
with square meter resolution to understand farm
profitability.
We need to get more food from every acre while
protecting the environment.
4. THE PROBLEM OUR GROWERS FACE
This is a very challenging time for farmers and
ranchers as commodity prices continue to be
weak.
Cash market prices that just a few years ago
might have offered a small profit will not cover
the cost of production today.
It seems as if we have entered the perfect storm
of low commodity prices and high input cost
and the survival mode has kicked in.
5. Current soil sampling is done by
taking a single sample per 4 acres.
Imprecise chemical soil analysis,
produces an inaccurate map, making
input decisions very difficult.
FARMERS PROBLEM: SOIL SAMPLING
CONVENTIONAL MAPPING
1 Acre of land = 1 football field 1 Sample = limited data map

Agriculture
6. Hyper Spectral soil analysis, utilizes a
sensor to quickly record multiple soil
readings, directly to a field computer.
The more precise Hyper Spectral soil
data, greatly improves input
decisions.
OUR SOLUTION: HYPERSPECTRAL TECHNOLOGY
Multiple samples per acre More detailed input map
PRECISION MAPPING
7. WHAT IS THE TERRASMART™ PROCESS?
COLLECT: A field device designed for
hyperspectral soil analysis gathers soil
data at 10 points per acre
CONNECT: A network connector that feeds
data from the sensor in real-time
ANALYZE: A proprietary algorithm engine
combines millions of data points from the
field and external sources to derive results
8. FASTER RESULTS
Laboratory chemical analysis
is time consuming and
requires transporting samples
to a lab.
Hyperspectral soil analysis is done in
near-real-time, on site. Results are
uploaded to the cloud and available the
same day.
9. Actionable Real Time Information
1
Less Expensive and Faster2
Automation of Existing, Labor-Intensive Process
3
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
More Precise per Acre4
11. DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

adoption.
14. FINANCIAL PROJECTION
To effectively service the millions of
acres available in the US, we will
initially target agronomic service
providers who will utilize our
technology to benefit their
customers and gain user adoption.
15. ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
CLEAN WATER ACT 2018 NUTRIENT CRITERIA
We support good environmental
stewardship of our waterways
by helping farmers place precise
soil nutrients only where and
when they are needed most.

16. INTERNATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
Small farmers in Asia and Africa do not have access
to modern agronomic nutrient management.
Building networks of soil labs is not feasible.
Our technology can be implemented seamlessly
from the cloud.
More people have cell phones than toilets in
many of these areas.
This has the potential to increase sustainable
production moving hundreds of millions people
out of poverty.
