Prachi Sharma worked as a trainee for three months under the supervision of Dimitri Pertin at IRCCyN laboratory, where she researched the use of erasure coding for distributed storage and cloud computing both theoretically by understanding FEC codes like the Mojette Transform, and practically by working on the RozoFS distributed storage system and developing a web interface for it. During her stay, Prachi acquired significant experience and confidence on the subject, showing eagerness to learn and autonomy in her work.

To whom it may concern,
Prachi Sharma has been invited as trainee for her bachelor's degree in IRCCyN
laboratory from January 2014 to March 2014 under my supervision.
During her stay here she worked on the use of erasure coding for distributed
storage and Cloud computing. The context of her work were both theoretical,
with the understanding of algorithms and methods related to FEC codes, espe-
cially using a discrete tomography-based method called the Mojette Transform
and its behavior as an erasure code, and practical consisting of handling FEC
codes and distributed storage systems, contributing to RozoFS project in collab-
oration with the start-up Fizians, and developing a web interface that interacts
with the distributed file system.
In less than two months, Prachi acquired a great experience and confidence on
the subject. She is eager to share and learn and showed autonomy.

Dimitri Pertin
